The saving grace was the pandemic. You read that right. The bad breath was baked into this place from the pretend tech workers. But the masks seemed to contain it. Apple should provide mints to the workers and customers.
I think the criterion for employment is appear ghastly. Cmon no one in here could program a dish network remote.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Tami H.Canton, MI04322Dec 19, 2023
Buy my iPhones here and I'm tired of Apple releasing software (especially v17) that drastically: slows down internet searches, wears down battery and freezes up iPhone 13 and up. Comments/threads from iPhone users all over online and Apple does nothing. Apple's $700+ phones worth less than a $50 phone. Please help!!! And no, reset should not be your go to answer!

I went on a week day to pick an express order. They accept customers on appointment basis. They do screening at the entrance and limit customer in-store occupancy. The lines were moving fast with less wait time. I received my item quickly and was pleased with the transaction. All covid safe practices enforced.

I had got my appointment online so I was able to get in after few minutes of waiting time. They accommodate only few customers at a time inside the store and others were made to wait in the line. The walk-in lines were really long. Be prepared to wait to gain access as its the only Apple showroom around so expect it to be crowded.
The representative who attended was very efficient and knowledgeable. She turned a stressful experience into relaxed one. She handled the trade-in with professionalism and care. Overall the process was super quick and impressive. Located inside the Briarwood mall with ample free parking. Recommend parking near Panda Express which is close to the Apple store. Avoid Macys side as it will always be crowded. - Chelsea W.Taylor, MI15May 9, 2023
Not worth going to, they won't know how to fix your device and then you will be out of a phone. They don't read the information given my Apple Support and they are snarky. Make sure you know everything and your passwords or they will inadvertently lock you out of your device. Only what they are interested in is you buying a new device and not fixing the one you have. If it needs to be fixed, you won't have a phone and you will have to wait. Waste of time like ALWAYS.

Four years on and the Apple Store is still keeping up with that quality customer service! This time I came along with my mom as she looked to upgrade her phone to a fancy new X model. We were helped by several folks, from a welcoming member to the employee that actually helped us purchase and set up the phone, to another fella who helped us trade in my mom's other old phone for a small gift card and each interaction was top notch.
I'm always impressed by the patience and level of detail they go into as they sign folks up for their new hardware and transition them from their old devices to new. Whenever I upgrade my phone next you best believe I'll be coming here to do it.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 8Oh no 0Aug 29, 2014Previous reviewHad another top notch customer service experience at the Apple store. Upon first glance this place seems overwhelming and crowded but they have a TON of staff and they communicate amazingly with one another so it runs like clockwork. Someone greets you at the door, checks your appointment time, then relays your arrival to someone from the genius bar who takes you over to your rep. It all takes less than a minute and you're on your way to a repair.
My iphone 5's battery was on its last legs. Luckily for me I saw that Apple was running a replacement program for 5 batteries (they found them to not be performing to standard). When I read this I immediately went to the Apple website to investigate. I typed my phone's serial number into the replacement website and saw that I qualified. Another few quick clicks later and I had an appointment at the Genius Bar the next day to get it replaced.
I showed up at my scheduled time right on the dot and they referred me to a rep who walked me through the process, checked my phone out to make sure the battery was underperforming (it was) and then took my phone to the back for the replacement.
It took about an hour and a half and I am loathe to report it was excruciating. Not because they did anything wrong but because I am totally, completely, painfully addicted to my phone. Luckily I had a bunch of stores to browse in to distract me but man, it sucked. I wasn't wearing my watch so I didn't even know what time it was! I just had to keep asking mall clerks for a time. It was like my teenage years in the 90s at the mall all over again, only this time I was waiting to get my electronic fix back, not waiting to meet my mom in the parking lot.
After an hour and a half I went back and she was all ready to go. They delivered my baby back to me quickly and one finger tip signature to confirm pick up and I was out of there. Happy to report after a couple of days I'm no longer experiencing the battery issues I once was. Seems like this one will last me until my next upgrade rolls around early next year. Hooray!Jan 18, 2012Previous reviewAbout a week ago the "off" button on my iphone inexplicably stopped working. As someone who is addicted to her iphone I used that button a lot to put it to sleep, end calls, etc (maybe it's not so "inexplicable" after all). It may not seem like a big deal but without being able to put the darn thing back to sleep I lived in constant fear I would pocket dial someone or so some other crazy 'ish without my knowledge. I high tailed it to the apple store to see what I could do about it.
Unfortunately, when I went in they were booked solid. I've had macs/apple products for about 9 years now and luckily I've never had anything go belly up so I didn't know I had to make an appointment to speak to someone at the Genius Bar. Seeing as how I don't really live near an Apple store I was a little irked at first but took my grumbling and went back home. I made an appointment for the next time I'd be in town (today) and just hoped for the best when it came to menacing pocket dials.
When I came in for my appointment I was greeted by some super friendly staff. That's one thing I have to give Apple credit for, they hire some cheerful people. I worked retail for 6 years and I know how grating it can sometimes be, especially at a high volume store like Apple, but these folks still stay chipper. Props! I was introduced to my helper, a nice fella named Chris, who took one look at my poor phone and deduced I'd need a new one. The battery was going on my former model so I have to admit I did think to myself "SCORE!" when this bit of information came my way.
Luckily my phone was covered under the Apple Care so I didn't have to pay for a new one, either. Double score!
Chris went to the back, got me my new phone, set it up, explained to me how to restore all my old info via backup on my computer, and sent me on my way. I was in and out at no cost in under 20 minutes. And with a brand new phone to boot! *Kermit Yaaaaayyyy!*
The Ann Arbor store isn't quite as big or flashy as say, Somerset, but they've got all the products and a great staff of helpful folks which makes this one my store of choice. Thanks, guys! - Sydney L.Sacramento, CA519207Jun 3, 2022
Smaller Apple Store. Not a lot of employees so not available always at a whim but they are all kind and helpful

Yasha, Hamza, Ciarra (the manager) the team at the apple store were incredibly dishonest and wasted a great amount of time with what was promised as opposed to what was provided. Would not recommend this location. If I could score zero stars I would.

I would never recommend this store of rude people working there! I spent 1500 on a phone the day before and i had a problem and do you think they would attempt to at least hold the phone and take a glimpse! But no! Apple! I would consider taking a look at this store! They are rude lazy and unhelpful!

I'm super disappointed in the quality of service at this Apple location. It's some of the WORST customer service we have ever experienced.
My husband bought an iPhone 11 last fall. A month later, he had to have the display fixed. He had the same issue pop up again. He took it in. Granted it's a pandemic, but the whole experience was incredibly rude, unkind, and helpful.
It's very disheartening to see how Apple has gone SO downhill with their customer service. The clerk basically lied to my husband, saying they couldn't fix the display and then, he'd get a "new" phone, which ended up being refurbished. It should still be under warranty! Hello! This was upsetting to my husband, understandably so. The manager told my husband to keep his voice down. Wouldn't you be upset if you had dropped major coin on an iPhone and then, you get no solution, no help, no answers, and oh, here's your refurbished phone that YOU have to take home to make it work out. No support or help. Wow, this isn't the Apple I know!
We have been Apple products customers since 2011. I will need a new iPhone and MacBook soon, but after this horrible experience, I honestly don't think we will ever invest in Apple products again. I'm shopping for other options. They will lose out on a lot of our business sadly.
It's so UNFORTUNATE. It seems like Apple doesn't care any more about their customers. You pay top dollar and then, get treated like total crap and don't get any real help to your issues, which are under warranty and not your fault and known issues for other users.
This particular location at Briarwood hasn't ever been helpful or friendly. Our past dealings where with Patridge Creek and they were WAY better. How can customer service vary so widely across a company? I don't get it! They need to train their employees better.
I'm hoping to get a resolution and am trying hard to get one. We are looking into filling complaints with the attorney generals of MI and CA, as well as Better Business Bureaus in both states. I also am in conversations with our attorney.
This is very hard for me, especially since I enjoy Apple products and they are crucial to my path as a creative person. I guess though I have standards and don't want to give my money to a company who treats us like this. I'm sure they don't care at all though. They will try to make it seem like it is our fault and that they are doing us a big favor. Luckily, there are consumer protection laws.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
