Everyone loves a dynamic duo. Some of the biggest actors and actresses today are responsible for bringing some of our favorite stories to life on-screen. However, as much as we love a strong lead, having a match made in heaven could do wonders. In any and all genres of film, actors are pretty much paired together when they have sparks on screen. When it works, it works. So, why not ride the wave? One example of this is the pairing between Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper.
These two actors have made names for themselves in the entertainment industry, having taken part in some of the most impactful films in pop culture history, some of which include the Hunger Games trilogy and A Star is Born. Well, when these two formed a connection on-screen, audiences could not get enough. Throughout their careers, Lawrence and Cooper have taken part in multiple projects together. 4 Serena
Love it or hate it, Serena is full of wins and misses. We know that Cooper and Lawrence are a match made in movie heaven. For the critics, that could not save the 2014 drama film. This movie follows Serena (Lawrence) and George (Cooper) as they conspire to murder in North Carolina during the Depression. Is this movie a must-watch? No. However, there is no harm in watching these two do what only they know how to do on-screen.
3 Joy
Lawrence and Cooper are very dynamic actors. They are able to fit into a variety of genres seamlessly, and when they are paired together, their chemistry is through the roof. In 2015, the drama comedy, Joy, is a pretty great showing of Lawrence and Cooper's chemistry in a pretty average movie. Joy follows the true story of Joy Mangano as she steps up to the plate as the true boss in the midst of her family's dynasty business. Although the critics are not raving about the film itself, there is no denying that Lawrence and Cooper's performances make this movie one to watch.
2 American Hustle
Seeing Lawrence and Cooper in a film together is enough for some people to flock to theaters. Well, the star-studded cast of the 2013 crime drama American Hustle had Lawrence, Cooper, the incomparable Amy Adams, Christian Bale, Jeremy Renner, and Robert De Niro. This film has an amazing 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, and for good reason. With Lawrence playing Rosalyn, the jealous wife of con man Irving Rosenfeld (Bale), and Cooper playing the FBI agent Richie DiMaso, the entire ensemble of American Hustle makes this film one of the best collaborations in the Lawrence/Cooper cinematic universe.
1 Silver Linings Playbook
When we were gifted Silver Linings Playbook, Cooper and Lawrence cemented themselves as an acting pair worthy of all the praise. Silver Linings Playbook came out in 2012 and is a film adaptation of the novel by Matthew Quick. The film follows Pat Solatano (Cooper) after he has left a mental institution and is on the journey of putting his life back together. However, when he meets Tiffany (Jennifer Lawrence), his world starts to look a little different than he thought, even his love for the Philadelphia Eagles.
Lawrence and Cooper create a dynamic that is almost electric on-screen. There is tension, undeniable love, wit, and a story that has both actors at the top of their game. If you want to give the Lawrence/Cooper pairing a chance, Silver Linings Playbook is definitely the one to watch.
