Just beucuse the film is made over 12 years doesn't mean it's the best film ever. I thought some aspects are really well done, for example the drunk step dad was really well done and made me feel something. on the other hand some bits are actually just meh. But for the most part this film is really good, just a rundown of what goes through a normal boy growing up. But imagine if the kid dies half way though filming that's gotta suck you gotta put another 12 years and a whole new cast.
