Fun! Even for 3 senior citizens
This feature is one I’d typically walk past but a younger (40s) had heard it was good, so we went. Great actors in colonial garb. One special surprise - we’re still scratching our heads. How’d they do that?. Good for kids and kids of all ages Recommend.

    It brought history to life!
One of my kids’ favorite activities to do in Boston. How can you present a historical event in a fun, exciting way….. especially for kids. Well, present it with actors in period costumes, on board a replica ship to re-enact the event. The mini movie of the battle was another alternative way the of connecting with the audience. As a result, I think my kids, age 13 and 7 understood what happened, the significance of it, and the impact it had leading to the Revolutionary War. There’s a very large souvenir shop with lots of options. The tea room where we can sample some of the tea was a nice touch.

Probably one of the best museum experiences in the world
Wow, what an experience an interactive journey, not only about the Boston Tea Party but the history leading upto the battle of Lexington. The tour guides, in character were amazing, with group participation really made it real, finishing off with Hollywood quality films explaining the march of the British and the minutemen of Lexington. It was emotional, thought provoking and a museum experience like no other. An absolute must for Boston.

    Entertaining History
It was entertaining history. Kids 11,8,5,3. 3 year old struggled but the rest did well and enjoyed it. There is a lot of standing so be prepared for that. A couple things that could be improved: they started talking before everyone was in the room, it felt a little rushed. Also, you didn’t get to look around very much always being scooted to the next room. I had a seat for the last movie but most of the group didn’t, I was glad I did. It was expensive which is frustrating. We did all love it though and glad we did it.
Greetings Tara, We're so happy to hear that you had such a great time! Thank you for sharing your experience here. Come and visit us again!

    Awesome Tour!
We took a group of 135 students and chaperones there today and had a wonderful experience! The staff there is truly dedicated to each and every tour. Our sales manager, Scott Harris, truly went above and beyond to ensure that our group had dedicated tour times and accommodated our large party with great customer service. The place itself is really cool, as it makes you step back in time to Colonial Days. The reenactments are very good, and "throwing" tea in the harbor is a great tradition. The gift shop had many great items, including all sorts of teas. The upstairs restaurant/cafeteria also has a good food option and multiple tea you can sample! Great overall experience, thanks to Scott and his dedicated team!
Greetings Steve, We're glad to hear that you enjoyed Scott Harris and had a great time! We hope you'll come back for more next time you're in one of our other destinations. You’ll also find our tours in Savannah, Nashville, Saint Augustine, Key West, Boston, San Diego, and Washington DC.

    Surprisingly Fantastic
When we approached the venue we were skeptical. However, the tour was one of our top three experiences in Boston. Our tour guide “Peter” was phenomenal. She stayed in character before, during and after the tour. You are made to feel as if you are part of that night by handing out cards with individuals names of participants of the Boston Tea Party. Highly recommended.
These are all things we love to hear. Thank you so much for your comments! Our guides and storytellers take pride in what they do. Come visit us again in one of our other destinations!

    Worth a visit
Had a really nice experience. Actors do a phenomenal job and are very humorous. The company in general does an excellent job covering the historical importance of this event and we’re able to squeeze in more than I had expected. Came here with my 6 year old which I had mixed feelings about, but we made it through and he was happy to get on the boat, explore it and throw the bag in. Would definitely recommend this for pretty much anyone.

This was an informative tour. I would say that it was a little pricey and they put a lot of people into each group that goes through. They let you recreate throwing tea into the harbor but with large groups you are lucky to have enough time to do it and get a picture. Also, they let you tour the ship that it occurred on but even that seemed rushed. The tour is not cheap and it would have been nice to spend a little more time being able to look and explore more

We pre-purchased tickets in a package in the morning and arrived around 2pm to be told that they weren't selling any more tickets for the day and we wouldn't be able to enter even though we had already paid for our tickets. There were several other families there at the same time having the same problem. The company we bought the tickets through is supposed to issue a refund but that doesn't help the fact that we wasted over an hour dealing with this on our one day in Boston when we could have spent the time elsewhere. In my opinion you shouldn't sell tickets through 3rd parties if you aren't able to manage the number of tickets sold and turn people away who have spent time and money to see the museum. Very disappointed in how this was handled.

Except that I was there, and thoroughly enjoyed this look into our nation's history. The "tour guides" stayed perfectly in character (even when chastising phone usage, which is permitted everywhere except for the museum area), and the interactive portions of the tour were like the best parts of a school field trip, but experienced as an adult. One drawback is the seats for the introduction and for the short film were incredibly uncomfortable, but I'll chalk that up to trying to remain authentic to the time.

I'll also point out the irony of the post tour tea room serving the original tea blends from the Boston Tea Party, but charging tax on them (and more than the 3% that led to the Sons of Liberty throwing the crates overboard), but the pastries were good and the experience was educational and entertaining.

My husband and I recently participated in this tour. I would recommend purchasing tickets online and showing up early in the day for best tour times. Cast members were educational and humorous. We would highly recommend this for children as well as adults.

This is an attraction only if you're with 8-12 years old kids, who are history freaks at the same time.
On the other hand it's an excellent showcase for adults, how to make money from a famous history event. Few era dressed third grade actors, short movie, some "historic items" in the "museum" and a cup of tea = 30$ here we go.
A classic tourist trap to squeeze your money, so don't bother. If you're for ships go to the USS Constitution - it's free, original and authentic piece of history.

Take a tour into history. Wow I was impressed by the hosts as they played characters of past American revolutions. You'll be sure to be educated and entertained. Best part was you'll get to throw the tea into the bay!

My 16 year old daughter & I had an absolute blast!! This is interactive history at its best!! The tour guides/historical actors really embraced their roles and made learning more about the Boston tea party a fun experience. Everyone in our group got into the act. The structure of the tour is very well done. This is a must see in our book!!! The tea house was great too!!

We spent about 90 minutes here. The actors were appropriately loud so we could hear and fun and some cool facts as they told the story. Two eleven year old boys were kept engaged (that tells you something), we kept moving. I highly suggest the am before too hot. Some great artifacts on display. My children now have perspective of this pivotal point in history. They understand details and had fun learning. Life long learning took place. And yes, throwing replica cases of tea overboard was thoroughly enjoyed by the boys.

This museum is an interactive experience where you are given a role as a son or daughter of liberty. The guides do a great job of staying in character and playing off the group’s energy. Overall a fun experience and nothing quite like chucking a box of “tea” into the harbor. The museum is a mix of movies and artifacts that are deftly woven into the act. Lastly, you can get yourself a cup of tea in the tea shop.

We loved coming here. First you do get to learn about history. Second during the reenactment my son loved that he could be loud and yell with the crowd. The staff were so good with us and even dad enjoyed throwing the tea in the harbor. I highly recommend
