The big tickets Bollywood movies are gearing up for release post-lockdown. A year of no releases has queued plenty of films that are set to hit the screens this year. It's a known fact that Bollywood biggies aim for a national holiday and festive weekend releases. However, the number of movies waiting to be released is more as compared to the weeks we have in hand. Which will definitely lead to big-budget movies clashing at the box office in 2021.
The releases of Master and Krack have already proved that people are willing to enjoy the cinema experience again. While 2021 will be a treat for movie buffs, the same can't be said for the makers who will be facing the inevitable box office battle.

Ajay Devgn's sports biopic, Maidaan and SS Rajamouli's RRR are eyeing for October 15 and October 13 release, respectively. The news has upset Boney Kapoor the producer of Maidaan. "Rajamouli has made a big name for himself after the two Baahubali films he directed. In that context, I wonder why a Rajamouli film, after Baahubali: The Beginning and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion needs a holiday weekend?" reports Hindustan Times. RRR stars Alia Bhatt, Jr NTR and Ram Charan.
After the film exhibitors and distributors requested Salman Khan to go for a theatrical release instead of OTT, Khan booked EID for Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. He had shared on Twitter that his film, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai will release in theatres on Eid. The step was taken to revive single-screen cinema halls which do major business with these releases. “I understand the financial problems that the theatre owners/exhibitors are going through and I would like to help them by releasing Radhe in theatres," the actor had tweeted. Later actor John Abraham also announced that Satyameva Jayate 2 will release on Eid. Directed by Milaap Zaveri, the film features Divya Khosla Kumar in the lead.
The historic drama K.G.F: Chapter 2 is set to hit the screen on July 16. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the movie stars Yash, Sanjay Dutt, Srinidhi Shetty, and others. Tiger Shroff's Heropanti 2 is also slated to release on the same day. However, with a delay in the schedule, there is a chance that the release date might shift.
It is going to be a festive celebration at the box office this Diwali. Yash Raj Films' Prithviraj starring Akshay Kumar and Manushi Chillar is scheduled for a Diwali release on November 5. Aiming for a big release is also Shahid Kapoor's sports-drama, Jersy, a remake of the 2019 Telugu hit film. Diwali has always worked well for Box office and makers are pretty hopeful about these two big releases.
