'2.0' pirated prints available on Tamilrockers despite precautionary measures by film's production house?

A day before director S Shankar's ‘2.0’, starring Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar hit the big screen worldwide, the Madras High Court directed 37 internet service providers to block more than 12,000 websites that exhibit pirated versions of Tamil movies. The list included more than 2,000 websites operated by TamilRockers. However, despite the precautionary measures adopted by the producers, reports doing the rounds claim that Tamilrockers has released the film online, within hours of its official release.

Lyca Productions took to Twitter on Thursday afternoon to request people to watch the movie in a theatre and not subscribe to piracy. “Hard work of 4 yrs, crores of money, efforts of 1000s of technicians - all to give you a visual spectacle you can watch, love and enjoy in THEATRES! Do not spoil the experience. SAY NO TO PIRACY! Send all pirated links to antipiracy@aiplex.com & help Tamil cinema shine!” read the tweet.

Made on a budget of over Rs 450 crore, ‘2.0’ released on Thursday in theatres across the world. Apart from already earning a record-breaking pre-release ticket sales, the film is expected to smash several other box office records considering the good reviews, hype and word of mouth. It is one of the biggest VFX films ever made and it is a sequel to Shankar's 'Enthiran' and focuses on saving the human race from harmful technology. Superstar Rajinikanth and Amy Jackson play the lead roles and Bollywood star Akshay Kumar plays the antagonist along with Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain.

Shankar Shanmugham thanked audience for making 2.0 a success. He tweeted, "My heart full thanks to the audience who have lapped up #2point0 and celebrated and made it a huge success, and to all the media who supported and respected the hard work of our team, and to my whole team who have given a piece of their life to 2.0."
Actress Rupa Manjari loved the movie and described it as engaging entertainer with a very noble awareness message. She also made an appeal to only watch the movie in theatres. Filmmaker A.R.Murugadoss ‏took to Twitter express their thoughts on the film. He tweeted, "#2point0 has taken Indian cinema to the next level, Enjoyed the mass and Stylish performance of @rajinikanth sir, @akshaykumar acting was excellent and enjoyed the movie thoroughly @shankarshanmugh congratulations to the entire team @LycaProductions @arrahman"
Actor Dhanush also praised the movie and made a apeal to only watch the movie in theatres. He tweeted, "2.O is ORIGINAL.. on par with any Hollywood film. MINDBLOWING. Writer, director Milap described 2.0 as one of the most imaginative and ambitious films to come out of India. Despite being leaked on Tamilrockers website for download online '2.0' has managed to do well on box office and broken a lot of records and has already become forth highest grosser of the year. With it still running successful its is expected to break more box office records in coming days.
