The Blues Brothers: Original Soundtrack Recording (later re-released as The Blues Brothers: Music from the Soundtrack) is the second album by the American Rhythm & Blues duo The Blues Brothers. Released on June 20, 1980, the album was a followup to their debut live album, Briefcase Full of Blues.

- My copy has periodic pops and crackles but I think that's consistent with its condition rather than any issues with the original vinyl pressing.
Okay, yeah the pressing the sound it's all great but man does this collection of songs get you shaking rattling and rolling? It's the Blues Brothers!

Edited 2 years agoI have the Walmart release and gotta say I'm very impressed. I've seen/heard good and bad releases come from the big chain. This one though sounds fresh and is dead quiet on my system. A++++
In the runout matrix of my copy, it’s not MCR Se, it’s MCR Joe.
Now, on to more important stuff. This is one of my all-time favorite soundtracks from one of my all-time favorite movies. RIP “Joliet” Jake Blues, Matt “Guitar” Murphy, “Mr. Fabulous” Alan Rubin, and Donald “Duck” Dunn.- Don`t ever buy this piece of crap (blue one). Recorded from mp3 I guess. Flat and inexpressive sound. DR is incredibly compressed. Shame on them.
A fun soundtrack with lots of great performances. A must-have for any Blues Brothers fan. This Canadian pressing sounds quite good! Not what I expected, honestly.
Stellar mastering and pressing. Cannot fault anything about the release.- My copy (printed in the Netherlands) came with a black, lined inner sleeve
