Kerry Washington makes a splash in a blue custom Etro gown... as she jumps in her POOL ahead of the SAG Awards

She is enjoying her fourth Screen Actors Guild Award nomination this weekend for her searing performance in Little Fires Everywhere.

And Kerry Washington went with an aquatic theme for her fashion statement for the awards event on Sunday, in a custom blue Etro gown with matching Esther Williams-style swim cap.

The Bronx, New York-born actress, 44, stunned in the high-slitted patterned garment, as she took a plunge into a swimming pool on Instagram.

Kerry‘s dress featured a sweetheart neckline and low back, with beautiful circular beaded patterns throughout.

Her scalloped swim cap picked up the same pattern.

Even her manicure was a perfect match to her dress’s motif, with celebrity nail artist Kim Truong revealing she used products from OPI to create a mermaid-inspired look on the actress's tips.

She began with the brand's GelColor in Passion and then used Tile Art to Warm Your Heart, to create a blue French manicure, before applying crystals to create a chic design on the nails.

Washington accessorized with gorgeous Bulgari studs in her ears as well as chunky rings.

Her makeup, by artist Carola Gonzalez, picked up the blue tones in her outfit thanks to dramatic eyeshadow.

The Scandal star is nominated for her lead performance in Hulu‘s Little Fires Everywhere from last year, opposite Reese Witherspoon.

The limited series drama explored racial tensions in an affluent neighborhood that eventually leads to arson.

The SAG nod is Kerry‘s first since her performance in 2016‘s Confirmation, in which she portrayed Clarence Thomas accuser Anita Hill.

The Screen Actors Guild Awards will celebrate the best of their craft with a pre-taped ceremony airing on Sunday, April 4th 2021.

Facing the unique challenges of a pandemic-era awards show, SAG-AFTRA's awards committee decided against a Zoom-heavy affair in lieu of pre-produced pieces and top-secret acceptance speeches shot ahead of time.

Instead of entertaining an audience, the 2021 SAGs will honor nominees with a series of docu-series style segments in a nod to their traditional 'I Am An Actor' segments which usually open the show.

Viola Davis, Riz Ahmed, Cynthia Erivo, Sterling K. Brown, Dan Levy, Rita Moreno, Common and Daisy Ridley are just some of the stars that are confirmed for the hour-long show, which will take place without a host.
