Excellent place to start your exploration of the Estes Park area. Tons of information and maps that will help orient you. The extra bonus is the adjacent walk around Lake Estes. We saw numerous elk during our visit and we assume the the lake area (and flowing streams) has good fishing because there were a good number of people fly fishing.

Beautiful lake - while small, Lake Estes is so serene and calming with fabulous mountain views. Very relaxing day on the lake. Staff is incredibly friendly and flexible - they made it so easy to check in, get us all situated and loaded onto the boat. When finished boating and heading into the docks, the staff was right there to greet us and guides in. Very pleasant staff to work with. Highly recommend a few hours on Lake Estes!

A quick ride up and down the mountain and some hiking at the top. The tram guides didn't know anything about the mountains we could see- like even their names- so that could've been better. But they got us up and down safely and quickly, and it was cool to hike around at the top.

This beautiful National Park was declared in 1915 and owing to its proximity to Denver is one of the most visited. Therefore, it is busy all year round so you need to get in early to see all the sights. The RMNP is made up of three distinct areas, Montane, Subalpine & Alpine and each have a separate ecosystem dictated by their height. The landscape changes from Aspen, Ponderosa Pines, Spruce and Fir Trees to the Tundra of the Alpine heights. The wildlife varies as well from Elk, Beavers, Otters, Deer, Gophers, Squirrels, Marmots, Bighorn Sheep to name just a few. The birdlife is as varied from Woodpeckers, Jays to the hardy Ptarmigan which stays all through Winter! No flying south for them! Longs Peak at 14259ft is the highest point and part of the Continental Divide. Have been to the RMNP many times & looking forward to my next visit!

Lots of delicious beer. I liked the Wit which was like blue moon. I also liked the Petit. Pilsner was also delicious, more hoppy than the others. No food but there is a food truck.

Loved the store – a big surprise. With so many crafty shops, shirt shops & gift shops up and down the main drag in EP, it was a thrill to find a hidden gem there on the edge of town. Happily dropped a few bucks for a vase and glassware that was perfectly wrapped for cross-country shipment. We'll go back for sure.
