Foshan Ancestral Temple aka. Foshan Zumiao is a Daoist temple in Foshan, Guangdong, China. It is a national AAAA tourist attraction approved by the China National Tourism Administration, covering an area of 25,000 square metres (270,000 sq ft). Foshan Ancestral Temple captures a million visitors at home and abroad every year with its well preserved ancient construction complex and its luxuriant folk culture. Foreign leaders and celebrities of various counties are frequent visitors to the temple.

It was first built in the Song dynasty during the reign of Emperor Zhezong, in the Yuanfeng Era (1078-1085), but was ruined towards the end of the Yuan Dynasty. It was rebuilt in the 5th year of the Hongwu Era of the Ming Dynasty (1372). The temple is dedicated to Beidi (the "Northern God"), a Cantonese form of the "Dark Warrior" Xuanwu, who is said to have power over the waters of Guangdong.

After the foundation of the People's Republic of China in 1949, the temple was converted into Foshan Municipal Museum and listed as one of the main cultural relics under the preservation by the Guangdong provincial government.

A must-visit place of history is something that interest you.

Historical buildings given a new face of life by using them as shops. A calm and peaceful stroll which one could enjoy the architecture of the surrounding buildings. Not really busy when I visited. There were a number of eateries scattered around the area.

Qinghui Garden is Shunde's prime tourist attraction. It is also one of the four major Cantonese gardens in Guangdong. The former residence of a Qing-era literati, it is nicely restored to its former grandeur. Wandering around the pleasant lakes and houses is enjoyable. There are also some informative exhibitions about the imperial examination system.

Park have entry fee and to get to the top of mountain where is the statue of Guanyin have another fee for transportation with option to make several stops along the way. The Park is big and view from Guanyin statue over the city is nice. All the park and statue premises are well maintained and clean. Be prepared to take the stairs up until the top where is the statue... although on the way back found out there was also a bus stop nearer the statue.

Amazing range of collections. For those witty deep pockets cleats and a good budget, choice of furniture is exotic . Well maintained and value for money

We travelled from Guangzhou on the subway, after changing 3 lines, the final stop was Jurong Beilu station! Then it’s a 15 minute walk to the park!
Shunfeng Moutain Park, a total area of 911.32 acres, relying on the unique natural environment of "two mountains and two lakes" (Taping Mountain, Shenbu Mountain, Guipan Lake, and Qingyun Lake). It highlights the construction theme of " Beautiful Scenery"and it fully integrates into the local profound culture, history as well as Lingnan characteristics.
Natural and human landscape has been formed by ancient monuments, temples , classical garden-stvle pavilions and park.
You can climb up to Qingyun Pagoda!
On the way back to the subway, if you travel one stop to Dongle Lu station, just outside at the Dong Cheng Hotel, you can have some traditional Shunde Yum Cha or main courses!

The lake is surrounded by lights and buildings lit up. It’s a nice relaxing walk around the lake with all the different types of lights on! You can take a boat ride as well! A lovely way to finish the day off!

I came here 10 years ago, not looking as good as it was back then but still that massive statue of Bruce lee is something, not much else to see... I'm just annoyed i lost my drone due to some error, the security guards were helpful, didn't find it... But overall with it being my 2nd visit I still love the place

Showacases Traditional Chinese Ethnic and Handicrafts, especially the Ceramic ware. You can also enjoy good Chinese Cuisine. Tragedy is more and more Traditional shops are closing down on regularl basis, giving way to mass produced cheaper versions.

When we arrived in the morning, the crowd was very manageable. The boys and I, I have two boys under the age of 6, were able to go on ride after ride with virtually no wait. Naturally, as the day carried on the crowd grew exponentially, and by mid afternoon it was a circus.

Overall, this was a great little place for the kids to visit. We were just at HK Disney last week, and they probably had more fun here because there were more rides for them and less restrictions. The short lines in the beginning of the day helped too. The zoo was great too because they got to feed the camels, hippos, deer and even pigs. I can't say I'm too fond of the way a lot of the guests treated the animal, but I also know there's a lot of ignorance in their knowledge about wild life.

This is a good little place to spend the day if you have small kids. But speaking mandarin is almost a necessity because it's such a local attraction. It's very China with the crowds, the smoking and the lack of certain western ethics; however, it's nothing that's out of the norm.
