The soap-hopper was castmates with Miller on All My Children (as Maggie and Richie), Young & Restless (where they even tied the knot as Chloe and Billy) and General Hospital (as Margaux and Jason/Drew). Wrapping her head around the tragedy, she wrote, “We were co-stars, we were friends, we were more than friends. We were complicated at times… What never changed was my love for you. “This is not fair,” lamented Bold & Beautiful‘s Liam on Instagram, who famously tied with Miller for the Outstanding Supporting Actor Emmy in 2013. “We deserved so much more of him. Rest in peace, Billy. You’re immortal now.”

Although he’d been on a break from social media, Goldin (here with Miller and Young & Restless’ Christian Jules LeBlanc) said that hearing about his former co-star “leaving the planet stopped me in my tracks. We worked together on All My Children,” continued Jake’s former portrayer. “We had an amazing cast, and he was truly one of my favorite people to work with and to be around. Billy, I know you felt everything very deeply. I hope you are free now and can rest. I will keep your grin and all the laughing we did together in my heart when I think about you. Until we meet again…”

The Suits star tweeted, “RIP, my TV bro, Billy Miller. I am touched by your thoughtfulness, your authentic, honest approach to your art, your kind nature and big smile that lit us all. The creator of USA Network’s Suits, on which Miller recurred as Harvey’s brother Marcus, called the actor’s death “very sad news for the entire Suits family.I flew home once with Billy. We had a great time, bonding over the five-hour flight, which seemed like it was over in minutes. A funny, smart, kind, gentle man.”

Though there was no love lost between The Young and the Restless‘ Billy and Victor, the same clearly was not true of their performers. “We lost Billy Miller,” tweeted Braeden Sunday evening. “It saddens me deeply! He was a very gifted actor! Amelia [Heinle, Victoria] and I took him to dinner on evening while he was in tough negotiations, and I remember telling him to reconsider, because rarely is an actor given a part that describes him almost perfectly, and to not make the mistake I had seen some actors make over my 60 years in the business, [thinking] that they are indispensable! Once an actor thinks that or is told that by some sycophants, they step onto a slippery road… usually to oblivion! ‘Billy Boy’ was not only a damn good actor but a nice man. May he rest in peace and meet up with Kristoff [St. John, Neil] in the beyond, ‘the undiscovered country from whose bourn no Traveller returns,’ and tell each other jokes! They were both loved by their colleagues.”

The youngster who played Jason and Sam’s son, Danny, on General Hospital admitted on Twitter that he was “Devastated,” adding that it was “hard to find words. You always gave me such good advice and were always there for me. You were an amazing person. I will never forget you.” Weaver then asked that others “please join me in praying for his family and loved ones.”

On General Hospital, Kurth and Miller were family as Ned and Jason/Drew. “I’m still processing this tragic news,” Kurth Instagrammed a few days after his former castmate’s passing. “I know Billy was very private, but he always opened himself up to us, his audience. We saw his sensitivity in every truthful moment on stage. He never held back. A very generous actor, and I will miss his undeniable talent. RIP.”

The Young & Restless icon who plays Esther said, “My heart is broken for the family and friends of Billy Miller. It was an honor to work with him. He will be sorely missed.”

“I’m heartsick over this,” tweeted the General Hospital junior achiever, whose Jake was alternately Miller’s on-screen son and nephew. “Billy was always kind, helpful, encouraging and an all-around good guy. This is just so hard to process. I’m devastated and shocked! This is going to take a while. Please rest in peace, Billy. You have many fans that love you and are going to miss you.”

When a fan later asked her to share a specific memory, Gati said that Miller “was always kind, gracious, professional, courteous, friendly, generous. Adored by fans and colleagues. As I recall, he installed and paid for a fully-equipped gym in a space at the studio so everyone could use it. I can’t say enough nice things about him.”

Having played Young & Restless‘ Amber opposite Miller, Frantz tweeted that he “lit up every room you walked into with your light and your charm,” adding that he gave “the best hugs ever! I’ll always remember the laughs and the great times we had together. Hope you’ve found peace, my dear friend. I’ll love you forever!”

“Billy,” said Anna’s portrayer on Intagram, “far too soon. Peace be with you.” Later, General Hospital co-star Laura Wright (Carly) echoed the sentiment, tweeting of his passing, “Way too soon.”

The Young & Restless alum who played Mac was “devastated to hear about Billy Miller. Such an enormous talent but more importantly an amazing, kind, considerate person. Sending so much love to his family and loved ones. Gone way too soon.”

The Young and the Restless’ Traci posted a joyous photo of herself with TV siblings Miller and Davidson during happier times. “Soar with the angels, my darling Billy,” she captioned it on Instagram.

“Such a shame,” noted General Hospital‘s former Dustin before admitting, “I barely knew Billy. We came up at the same time. He was having a fantastic run, not just the jobs, but his work. Almost a decade later, I saw him on my first day at General Hospital, told him how good he looked. He’d been training, had just done a shirtless scene.

“Seems silly, I’m sure,” Lawson continued. “But as an actor/trainer/father of three kids, I understand how hard it can be and the insecurities we face whether we admit it or not. He graciously accepted the compliment. The most we ever spoke. But I liked him.”

“Rest in peace, my friend,” wrote Rylan on Instagram. Like others, she worked with Miller on both General Hospital (where she was Lulu opposite his Jason/Drew) and The Young and the Restless (where she was Abby to his Billy). “What a tremendous loss for this world. Heartbroken.”

The General Hospital Emmy winner worked closely with Miller when he was cast as Jason, who turned out to be Carly’s future boo, Drew. News of his passing is “shocking,” she tweeted, “sending love and light to his family and friends.”

The Young & Restless vet — formerly Paul on the show — called Miller a “beautiful soul, a loving brother… May you rest in peace. I’ll miss your brilliance.”

My beautiful friend. There are no words. I love you. I’m so sad. And I’m so sorry.”

“My fellow Texas brother,” tweeted Muhney, who played Adam opposite Miller’s Billy on Young & Restless, “you lit up every room with your smile. Your quiet intensite onscreen was second only to your gentle kindness and genuine care in private. After five years of sharing the stage with you, we shared our last scenes and departed together by way of a literal cliffhanger. (Move over, Thelma and Louise).”

He continued, “We recently shared work on an Apple series, and your encouragements during and after that process, and your kindness over the years, are now but a few of the things I’ll hold on to as warm memories of you. What a big heart you had.” 

He concluded, “You were bigger and braver and bolder than this life. You were legend. There is no landing to this final cliffhanger, the wings you’ve spent your lifetime earning have carried you up to that wonderful place in the sky.”

Although she played All My Children‘s Kendall years before his Richie arrived in Pine Valley, the two would later work together on the 2011 primetime series Ringer. “Rest in peace, Billy,” she said on Instagram. “It was an honor to work with you, but more of an honor to know you.”
