      Season 6 – Billions

      2022 Drama List
100% Tomatometer 5 Reviews 27% Audience Score 100+ Ratings Wealth, influence and corruption collide in this drama set in New York. Shrewd U.S. attorney Chuck Rhoades is embroiled in a high-stakes game of predator vs. prey with Bobby Axelrod, an ambitious hedge-fund king. To date, Rhoades has never lost an insider trading case -- he's 81-0 -- but when criminal evidence turns up against Axelrod, he proceeds cautiously in building the case against Axelrod, who employs Rhoades' wife, psychiatrist Wendy, as a performance coach for his company. Wendy, who has been in her position longer than Chuck has been in his, refuses to give up her career for her husband's legal crusade against Axelrod. Both men use their intelligence, power and influence to outmaneuver the other in this battle over billions. The high-profile cast is led by Emmy winner Paul Giamatti ("John Adams") as Chuck Rhoades. Steve Greene indieWire Billions was never content to rest on its heels. Now, with a few well-targeted adjustments, it won't have to. Rated: B+ Jan 25, 2022 Full Review Brian Lowry CNN.com Billions might have lost its Axe, but it returns with the same cutting dialogue, and in many respects, its original formula. Jan 25, 2022 Full Review Brad Newsome Sydney Morning Herald Billions returns without Damian Lewis for the first time -- and without missing a beat. Rated: 3.5/5 Jan 19, 2022 Full Review Dustin Rowles Pajiba By hiding behind the facade of ethics and morality, Mike Prince proves himself to be even more of a villain than Axe. Billionaires are bad. All of them. No exceptions. Marcus L I liked this one. Dunno whats rhe problem of most people Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/19/24 Full Review Hormiga K There's no Billions without Bobby / Axe / Lewis, as this season makes evident. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 01/02/24 Full Review V F I went into this series knowing the hypocrisy of Chuck Rhoades being the man of the people while a multimillionaire himself. But he keeps going and going morally and ethically lower than Axelrod and now season 6 lower than a new villain who is a villain why? Because he is rich. Umm so are you and your family Chuck. I mean I hope you used the $25m you stole from your ex wife wisely. Season 1-4 had strong women with story lines worth watching. Season 5 made them irrelevant at best and subservient to horrible men at worst. And I still decided to keep going into season 6. Half way through I am wondering why and I am still wasting my time. Get out Taylor, Wendy and I'm having a hard time even remembering Sacker's name as she is barely on the show. They took most of the best characters that they didn't write off in the previous seasons and completely changed them. Who even is Taylor and what did they do to them. And they have also totally decimated Wendy. Them and the other Axe caps were actually enjoyable to watch. I keep turning around expecting to see Wags show up at some point. We watch tv to get away from the real world and not to be lectured about morality and now DEI, from characters like Chuck. It is insulting to viewers. I can't believe it was even brought back for a 7th season. It should have slunk off to oblivion after season 5. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 10/22/23 Full Review Jennifer H Season 6 was brutal to get through… I didn't even care to pause to get up for things around the house… and after caring way too many times to rewind what I'd missed… I learned it wasn't worth it… Like a completely different series entirely and completely dissatisfying and disappointed! No wonder they cancelled it! Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 09/21/23 Full Review K A Awful- all characters now suddenly doing the opposite of what they used to. Moral lectures every few minutes. It's like they purposefully said, "what's been working the last 5 seasons, let's change it". Rated 1 out of 5 stars 08/13/23 Full Review Jamie W Absolutely diabolical season. The Mike Prince story is just pathetic and painful to watch... Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 08/12/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
