It’s always been a dream of mine to do a show at the Fillmore. The name itself is synonymous with legendary performances. Countless iconic musicians and comedians have been on that stage. To be a part of that history was something I’ll never forget. As much as I was trying to keep my head together before the show, I couldn’t help but feel like a tourist or just some random dude who won a contest. Mr. Burr has lots of accolades to prove that he became a good comedian years ago. This performance from 2010 shows he has the chops to maintain his particular high level of humor and make it look easy. This kind of public appearance depends on a wide bag of skills from the essential basics of telling the audience a "true story that happened to me today...", to delivering blocks of previously explored material and making them sound spontaneous and unhurried. The pacing of the performance is, I think the best example of Mr. Burr's professionalism in his dedication and delivery. This performance is also at least a little more family friendly than his 2008 "Why Do I Do This?", performance.

Needing to continue from the unfortunate passing of George Carlin, I came across this standup on NetfFlix where I immediatly recognized Bill from Chappelle's Show, and liked what he contributed. "Let It Go" is hilarious!!! I wasn't sure what I was in for, but I found myself laughing throughout the entire act!!! I just had to have the dvd!!! I also purchased Bill's earlier act on dvd as well which is very funny. Great semi-impressions, transitions are superb, and his meanings are very easy to follow.

Next is my little message to Bill...

Bill, you are very funny. There is no age limitations on being a great comedian. Be flexible with where you go and who you do it with while keeping your own brand genuinely you. Keep up the good work. You are on your way to being a legend!

What a guy! A truly gifted professional stand up comedian: insightful, entertaining and laugh-out-loud funny!
I always enjoy seeing him on TV shows where his personality shines. But whenever he takes the stage with a good audience he is absolutely stellar! This is one of those performances. Bill's timing, vocal characterizations, body language and rhythm is comedy gold.

Sure, you can find freeloader videos on the net, but talent and dedication like BB's deserves financial success too. That's why I always BUY anything someone this good puts out. You don't have to hear any commercials and there is plenty of bonus material you can't get elsewhere.

You should buy copies for yourself and a few best friends. Support this level of talent so we get to see more!

this was a one off. i viewed 2 other bill burr standups and they were very average. but this.... i watched it at least 7 times over two weeks this holiday season off of netflix and busted a gut each time. i had to get on amazon and order it for my library. don't know why. its just that good. but again just this one. where is the late richard jeni had 5 standups and each time they got better and better as he honed his skill, this dvd is a stand alone. but its so good i put it in the top 5 standups i have ever seen. and i have 2500 dvds in my collection.

This is Bill Burr's second DVD release, the first being Bill Burr: Why Do I Do This? . In this stand up special, Bill touches on everything from Stay at home mothers to suicide to adopting a dog. Bill is on top of his game in this DVD, and although I still prefer his "Why Do I Do This?" DVD, this still spectacular. Bill is not politically correct and tends to curse a lot so this is not for children, but that just makes it that much funnier. If you are a fan of stand up comedy, this is among the best you will find!

I was unaware of Bill Burr before viewing this special but as a result have become a huge fan. Like all great comics you happen to connect with, his observations sound just like the types of things you have thought of at one time or another only far funnier. I literally laughed so hard during this special that no sound would come out and I was pretty sure if he had continued with just ONE more joke before pausing that I would have suffocated. I would definitely recommend for those that like edgy "random" humor and don't mind a bit of profanity and racier content.
