Bethia Hopkins, was daughter of Constance Dudley and Stephen Hopkins who came on the Mayflower. Constance died before the Mayflower sailed. Her daughter, Bethia came after the Mayflower and wed Samuel Stocking ca 1680. Her children by Samuel Stocking were numerous and scattered during the western movement by those looking for land. One of her descendents, Bethia Mayo, was a descendent of the Indians who helped the original pilgrims. Today there are many descendents of Stephen Hopkins through the Stocking family.
