We stayed in room 1508 and on night two our air conditioner unit needed to be replaced. Maintenance was able to do this while we were away at dinner.
The king room itself was spacious with a large bathroom as well. Balcony was facing the street but noise level was tolerable. Bed was comfortable and cleanliness was remarkable.
Parts of Granville Street are a little less desirable but you can walk to everywhere from here. We walked to Granville Island, English Bay, Stanley Park, Coal Harbor, and Gastown. Yaletown is just a couple of blocks away.
Overall, friendly accommodating staff during our visit, very clean rooms, welcoming lobby and great location. I look forward to our next visit.

From my experience the stay here was excellent - the room was bigger than I imagined and had two separate spaces - almost like a small studio apartment with two twin beds in one room and a sofa/tv/desk area in another room. The housekeeping service exceeding my expectations and it was easy to communicate our needs with the staff, they were also quick to respond and fulfill any requirements of ours. Thanks again!

My husband and I recently stayed at this hotel February 19-21, 2020 and were very pleased we had chosen this hotel. We were made to feel very welcome upon arrival. Very professional and friendly staff with quick check in. The location of this hotel was excellent. 5 minute walk to Yaletown, 12 minute walk to Waterfront station. Close to Pacific Centre shopping Mall and various other retail stores. There is a bus stop outside the hotel and Yaletown Roundhouse and Waterfront Sky train stations are very close. We stayed in a king suite on the 12th floor and it was very clean and had many amenities such as a microwave, fridge, coffee maker and lighted make up mirror, to name a few. All the comforts of home. The balcony was great to sit out in the morning and have coffee and enjoy the view. The hotel has a nice restaurant and lounge with great food where we were made to feel very welcome. If you are looking for a great hotel with friendly staff and close to transportation, this is the hotel for you. Can't wait for our next mini vacation!

Everything was great except that our room was right next to a VERY noisy elevator that sounded and felt like it needed repair. The noise went on all night.
Staff is always friendly and informative and helpful though so that makes the other inconvenience seem a bit more tolerable. I just didn't expect a king suite to be located in such a bad spot. You would think that when you pay a little extra for an upgraded room it would come with knowing you aren't being kept awake all night.

I am a Diamond member with Best Western (30-49 nights/year). I don't want to sound pretentious but I expect a certain level of recognition and treatment when I stay at any Best Western due to my continued loyalty to the brand. I have to give this property two-stars for not living up to the Best Western standard.
They recently went through renovations to upgrade themselves from a Plus to a Premier. The new rooms look absolutely fantastic. They are very clean, and most rooms are arranged as a suite and have a balcony. The bathrooms are clean, decent but not powerful shower pressure, and no staining or smells.
The customer service however is garbage. When I checked in with my family, I was not recognized for my status. Normally as a Diamond member you are thanked, offered a free amenity (like free upgrade, free parking, free waters, etc.) and everyone in your party is offered to select from a basket of free snacks. I received none of that.
To top everything off, the front desk called me in the morning asking me to vacate the room one hour before the checkout time. As a loyalty member, they are supposed to give me extra time not less!
To summarize, if you are a frequent guest of Best Western avoid this property. If you are a normal traveler, the hotel is in great condition at the moment so use it while you can! If it wasn't for the new renovations, I would have gave them a one-star.

The hotel staff are friendly and helpful even when talking through their masks. We felt safe with the hotel doing everything to be transparent and still provide impeccable service. We stayed 3 nights at Best Western Premier Chateau Granville on June 27th, 2020. The hotel was fairly vacant due to there being no travelers since the current Covid-19 state and borders being closed. All of the front desk staff were lovely, courteous and polite. Blown away by the precautions for guests and staff, and hand sanitizer is available as well. The room was beautifully renovated, extremely clean and totally sanitized. Our room was on the 12th floor overlooking Granville St. with a nice balcony for people watching. They gave us complimentary parking and complimentary grab and go breakfast. The hotel was conveniently close to everything and they offered to extend our parking long after we checked out. They held our shopping bags for us at the front desk and accommodated every request we asked to their best. I would highly recommend staying here, a truly fantastic experience. Thank you VERY MUCH! We will be returning to your city and hotel when the crisis is over.

This hotel is perfectly located for easy access to Granville St bridge for those who may be heading to the airport. Located close to Robson or Davie for all your shopping or Entertainment needs. Underground parking is easily accessible and I've never had an issue trying to find a space. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean, well decorated, beds and furniture are comfortable. The staff are courteous and helpful. I highly recommend this stay.

The hotel is very dated but served well as a base to sleep and shower in. The facilities and the rooms were clean but not modern.
The service at the front desk was great and the staff were all very friendly.
The location was good as you are in walking distance of some of the more popular tourist areas although it was a little loud in the evening so I would recommend asking for a higher floor if you are a light sleeper.
If your aim is to stay in Vancouver on a budget then this is a great option.
If you want a more modern hotel with more comfort then I would recommend staying elsewhere.

I like the location of this property. Unfortunately due to the new normal some amenities have been put on the back burner but this location tries to adjust to the changing times. The bagged breakfast was a nice healthy option that we enjoyed.

I travel all over British Columbia for business and this is one of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. Coworkers and I stay for a week at a time and use their amenities and board room. I've never dealt with more attentive, warm and caring people anywhere I've ever stayed. They remember my dogs name, they give her treats. They ask how our business training is going, make local recommendations and always ensure we are comfortable and happy. The internet is fast, hotel and rooms clean, covid protocols make us feel safe, rooms are spacious and clean. The location is great for food options, off leash dog park and quick walk to the Sea Wall. We have used this location for 3 weeks of business meetings so far and they will continue to get our business. Thank you Chateau Granville! Blown away!

It's a 20-30 minute drive, in good conditions. Rush hour is going to be longer. Skytrain is the best bet.
