Yelpers I enjoyed this Home2 Suites basically adjacent to the main Baylor hospital downtown. I had a procedure early in the morning and I didn't want to battle the local Dallas traffic- this place was perfect. I got my rest and was low stress. They offer parking in the next door lot till 3pm of the following day, perfect for me to get my procedure done and come back to my car. Baylor is 1/2 block down and a walk across the street.

Front desk was very was on point for Valentine's Day and offered me a bit extra in my honors bag, much appreciated! Room was clean, only thing that bothered me was the notable lack of water pressure, pretty annoying. I didn't partake in the breakfast downstairs but when I passed by, honestly it didn't look like the greatest of choices.

Net is if you're looking for a hotel close to Baylor and need to be at the main hospital, this is the place.

Idk why this place only has 2 stars...?
This was the cleanest, most comfortable hotel with the absolute nicest, kindest and considerate staff I've ever met at a hotel.
This hotel houses a lot of people visiting loved ones at the hospital across the street. It takes a special group of staff working together to help make a comfortable & welcoming stay for those of us experiencing some of the most difficult moments of our lives.
I can't say enough good about the staff & how comfortable of a stay this was for me, specifically because of the amazing staff & high cleanliness standards.
I would give 10 stars if I could!
Thank you staff at Home2Suites for creating such a soothing and relaxing environment while I was dealing w a very difficult moment in my life.

Cons: I was here for a conference. And decided to stay in the same hotel as my Conference I thought the hotel was in a safe area, and I did not fear for my safety in the parking garage. However, two attendants of the Conference were from Kansas and they considered the area very dangerous, and they were afraid to walk out to the parking garage alone. One of the attendants was from Louisiana and she also didn't feel safe in the parking garage?
Also, I didn't like that I had to pay a daily fee for the parking garage.
When I arrived, my room had a really musty smell. And they tried to fix it by shampooing the carpet. But I don't think it was my room because the hallway on the fourth floor also had the same musty smell. But at least they tried.
Floor in my walk-in shower was a little slippery. I slipped 50% of the time I was in the shower. that is probably why that grab bar is in there.

Pros: absolutely. Love the service here. The pool is nice. The gym is clean. I love that they are a dog friendly hotel if I didn't have to pay for the parking garage, I probably would've come back the next time we visited Dallas but there's another location of this hotel in Dallas. I would probably go and stay there.

Convenient location for walking. Beds are mediocre. Parking is convenient as it's next door to a parking garage. Staff are friendly, near a hospital so expect to drive if looking for access to more food choices.

Had zero amenities and they charged for parking. They had 0 baggage carts available at any time. Not a good experience.

Home2 Suites by Hilton Dallas is a nice little hotel, it's not too far off the beaten path and only seven minutes by Uber or Lyft to the Kay Bailey Hutchison convention Center. There are no stores close by, but they do sell knickknacks at the front desk in the lobby. The hot fresh coffee & tea in the lobby is a pleasant surprise.
The hotel does a good job sanitizing and keeping it facility clean, but you must make arrangements with the front desk if you want your room cleaned otherwise you have to catch the house cleaners in the hallway for new towels or call the front desk for fresh towels and toiletries. They serve a pretty decent breakfast but they should be label the dishes as to what's inside; there was an egg dish and omelets but unless you asked someone coming out of the kitchen, there was no way to tell what was in them (watch out non-pork eaters) also, they ran out of waffle mix 35 minutes before breakfast ended at on a Saturday morning and instead of adding more mix, they wheeled the batter tin into the back and shut the waffle makers down. Minor fixes Home 2 Suites.

I'll preface this review by saying that it will apply to you solely depending on the reason behind your stay.

For my mom & I, it was a major blessing. My dad unexpectedly went into the hospital for an extended period of time. A family friend booked us this hotel so that we could be close to him at Baylor. You really can't get any closer than this hotel. For that reason, it's a phenomenal place to stay. You can pretty safely walk anywhere within the hospital from this hotel & we were also able to walk to a few restaurants. It's conveniently located right next to Potbelly sandwiches & a coffee bar.

The hotel was always extremely clean, so much so that we actually thought it was new. The staff was okay, nothing special by way of customer service but they weren't rude either. Our room was really nice & spacious. The kitchenette was stocked with dishes & cooking utensils and you're able to request skillet tops from the front desk for free.

They offer a promotion with patients at the hospital, so not only did we receive a discounted rate, but we were also able to cancel our stay when my dad got discharged earlier than expected at no additional cost.

This could be a negative for some depending on your views on COVID precautions, but it was a positive for me. They have a good continental breakfast that's open for quite a few hours in the morning. It wasn't the BEST hotel breakfast ever, but it was definitely better with more variety than most. It contained a waffle station, egg scramble bowls & omelettes, lots of milk & juices, various breads with a toaster, etc.

The only negatives for me was the parking situation & lack of vending machines. Now, the vending machine isn't a big deal but just something worth mentioning. They do have a 24 hour "market" by the front desk but of course it's over priced and you have to wait for someone to notice you to get your items. Plus the only way to pay is to have the cost tacked onto your room charge, which I felt guilty about because someone else was paying for our stay.

The parking was a mess. There's a garage that's within a quick walking distance to the hotel, but still a walking distance. You can buy a day pass at the hotel to part for $14 per day, which is unlimited coming and going from my understanding. Or $5 per day in the garage but coming & going isn't included. I spent so much money in parking. So that was really frustrating.

Other reviews say they don't have amenities, but we did find the pool on the last day.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay near the hospital. It was a blessing for sure.

The hotel was very clean but it is a terrible area, very ghetto. I guess if you're going to the hospitals, but their parking is the same as the hospital and you have to walk outside to get to the hotel. Very inconvenient and scary. Their breakfast was the worst hotel breakfast I've ever had. Their gourmet coffee was literally see-through and did not even taste like coffee. My daughter's yogurt was 5 days expired. They had some breakfast sandwiches that the biscuits were super dry and hard, and I'm not sure that was real bacon, and the omelettes I could never figure out what it was. Also pool area had absolutely no clean towels and water temperature must have been about 85°. Pump didn't even look like it was working.
      Staff was great though.

I had a pleasant hotel stay. The check in and out process was so quick and easy.

The staff was very nice and attentive from the start to the end of my stay. They answered any questions I had. Helped me figure out what was nearby.

The complimentary breakfast selection was better than most hotels I've stayed in. They had many delicious items to choose from. They also convenience items for purchase.

I love that the rooms have a microwave and a fridge. I went out and bought a few food items and was able to keep them in the fridge.

I had appointments at Baylor Scott and White two days in a row. Staying here made it very convenient for me so I wouldn't have to worry about traffic in the mornings.

This hotel does not meet the standards for a Hilton hotel. All it has going for it is that the room was clean.
First off there is no on street parking so you have to use a parking garage next door at the medical center.
There are no amenities. No place to sit and relax with a drink after a long day of travel.
      Not a great location.
This place is a no for me.
