As soon as summer ends (or maybe a little before), we are ready to dive into spooky season head-first. Of course, there are tons of Halloween activities to look forward to, but you can't go to the pumpkin patch or go trick-or-treating every night in October. Thankfully there is one Halloween activity you can indulge in whenever you like from the comfort of your sofa: watching all the best Halloween movies!

While we love a super-spooky thriller, sometimes we want to laugh! That's when the best funny scary movies come in. These horror comedies will put you in the Halloween spirit without giving you nightmares. Though if you're looking for some truly terrifying flicks, check out the best horror movies on Netflix. Or maybe you're on the hunt for kid-friendly Halloween movies the whole family can enjoy. Whatever the case, you'll want to make sure to carve out plenty of time to watch all the classics and all your personal favorites before Hallows' Eve.

In some cases, the funny scary movies on our list are more comedy focused, created as hilarious spoofs on original horror films (like the popular Scary Movie franchise). Others sneak humor into a predominantly spooky (but not too spooky) storyline. Either way, here are our favorite funny scary movies for watching this Halloween from Beetlejuice to Scream and everything in between.
