A: No. The side shelves on this model do not fold down.Q: Is the griddle removable so food can be cooked directly on the grill surface? (2 answers)
A: The griddle top is removable, but there aren't any grill grates underneath. You would just have access to the open flame and burners. We do not recommend cooking over them as it can clog the burners.
