Benjamin “Trey” Zickefoose, 64, of Abilene, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023. He was born on June 6, 1958, in Henderson, TN to Benjamin Zickefoose, Jr. and Nancy (Wallace) Zickefoose. Visitation will be held Friday, March 10, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at The Hamil Family Funeral Home, 6449 Buffalo Gap Road. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am at the funeral home on Saturday, March 11. There will be a private family burial. Trey graduated from Abilene Christian High School in 1976. After graduation, he went to work in the oil field before starting his own company, American Mobile Wash. Trey met Vickie Copeland in Abilene in 2000, and they married May 23, 2008 in Dallas, TX and then the island of St. Maarten. When Trey’s mother, Nancy, was diagnosed with cancer she was working for Precision Unlimited – this inspired Trey to work there as well so he could spend every day with his mom. When he wasn’t working, Trey enjoyed woodworking, building furniture for his family, grilling, and smoking meats. He would go to many Texas Rangers Games and was an avid gun collector. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy (Wallace) Zickefoose. Trey is survived by his wife, Vickie Copeland-Zickefoose; father, Ben Zickefoose, Jr; son, Benjamin Zickefoose, IV; daughter, Rachael Stevens and husband Dave; step-sons, Eric Copeland and wife Kristie, and Chance Copeland; sisters, Debi Allen and husband Tom, and Tonja Rushing; eight grandchildren, Taylor Wright, Justin Wright and wife Emma, Kindyl Wright, Jeslynn Hash, Benjamin Zickefoose V, Nancy Zickefoose, Carter Copeland, and Caroline Copeland.
