The Cluster's Pet of the Week is Benji, the sphynx cat!
Benji is the cat of Bailey Byrdsong '25, a pre-med student majoring in Spanish and double minoring in biology and women's and gender studies.
Benji originally belonged to Byrdsong’s brother, but when he moved out of state, she scooped him up and made Benji her own. It’s been five years since then.
He currently lives with Byrdsong’s parents back home, but that doesn’t change a thing.
Benji is a super cuddly cat that loves to sunbathe and isn’t a fan of the cold. Byrdsong said she's bought him sweaters, but he’s not a fan of those, either.
Benji has never been around other cats, but he can always be found around dogs. In fact, he likes to play fight with Byrdsong’s two dogs, Byrdie and Bobbi-Leigh.
Byrdsong said everyone calls Benji ugly, but she thinks otherwise. She said he is very handsome and photogenic.
