Ben Affleck blew off steam during a recent encounter with his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
The “Last Duel” star, 49, was photographed venting to the “13 Going on 30” star, also 49, on Thursday on a sidewalk in Los Angeles in what appeared to be a very animated conversation.
In a paparazzi video, Affleck was seen flailing his arms around with expressive reactions on his face. At one point, he was even seen staring at Garner with a wide-eyed gaze.
Although the Oscar winner did appear upset, it does not seem that he was angry with the mother of his three children, Violet, 16, Seraphina, 12, and Samuel, 9.
The “Alias” star, meanwhile, appeared much calmer than her former spouse throughout the chat and even smiled in some instances, signaling that she was not the target of his ire.
At the time of the exchange, Affleck and Garner had been going for a stroll together before taking a break to have the discussion, according to photographers.
In one of the images, the typically friendly exes were seen leaning over to look at a pamphlet — the contents of which are unclear.
Reps for the actors did not immediately respond to Page Six’s requests for comment.
Affleck and Garner, who were married from 2005 to 2018, are known for having a very positive co-parenting relationship.
Even though Affleck has famously moved on with his former fiancée-turned-girlfriend Jennifer Lopez, he and Garner still get together for the sake of their kids.
The blended families most recently came together on Halloween to go trick-or-treating.
“Everyone gets along, and the focus is always on the kids. Jennifer, Ben and Jen Garner all wanted the kids to have an amazing Halloween,” a source told People at the time. “The kids are friends and wanted to go trick-or-treating together. It made sense that they all went together.”
In the December/January issue of WSJ. Magazine, Affleck stressed the value of children being raised by two parents.
“It’s important to have two parents for the rearing and upbringing of a child,” he told the publication. “The most important thing to me is to be a good father.”
