The son of two famous actors, Jerry Stiller and Anne Meara, Ben Stiller knew from an early age that he wanted to go into show business. As a child, he filmed movies with his sister on a Super 8 camera and, at 9 years old, appeared on his mother’s TV show “Kate McShane.” This early start led to a lucrative Hollywood film career and a net worth for Ben Stiller of $200 million, according to Celebrity Net Worth. Ben Stiller Net Worth: $200 Million

Like many other household name comedic actors, Stiller got his first big break on “Saturday Night Live” as a writer and performer. Unlike stars like Amy Poehler and Will Ferrell, however, Stiller left the iconic sketch comedy show after just four episodes, Celebrity Net Worth reports. But he moved on to write and star in “The Ben Stiller Show” on MTV. Although the show only lasted on MTV one season, it led to another show of the same title on Fox in 1992, where it earned an Emmy.

Box-Office Success

Also in 1992, Stiller was recruited to direct and star in the box-office hit “Reality Bites,” which hit theaters President’s Day weekend in 1994. The romantic comedy-drama was the highest-grossing film of that weekend, earning $5,113,000, and went on to gross $33,351,557 million worldwide, based on Box Office Mojo figures.

In 1998, Stiller’s fame skyrocketed when he starred alongside Cameron Diaz in the 1998 Farrelly Brothers romantic comedy “There’s Something About Mary.” Stiller earned $3 million for his leading role, and the movie went on to make $369,884,651 worldwide at the box office. Stiller earned $2.5 million for his role in “Zoolander,” which earned more than $60 million worldwide at the box office.

There was no looking back for Stiller, as his movies have continued to be hits, grossing more than $6 billion in total at the box office, according to Celebrity Net Worth.

Ben Stiller Real Estate

Over the years, Stiller has owned many properties across the U.S. with now ex-wife Christine Taylor. In 2008, the couple bought a New York condo for around $10 million, selling it for just $9 million in 2013. In 2016, the couple bought a $15.3 million condo in New York City’s West Village. They also owned a $7.3 million Los Angeles home, which they sold to actor Jason Statham in 2011, Celebrity Net Worth. reports.

Taylor and Stiller, now divorced, still own a 14-acre, $8.5 million property in Hawaii, and a $10 million, 33-acre property in Chappaqua, New York.
