This Fact Sheet provides an overview of the national objectives of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, key accomplishments over its 40 year history, and the core principles that make it an effective tool for achieving local community development goals. In conjunction with the video products, grantees can use this resource at community meetings to engage partners and stimulate new thinking about how to strategically invest their CDBG dollars to make their community better using CDBG.
