The retreat into an unfinished family vacation home at the foot of the French Alps ultimately led songwriter Matt Belmont to the completion of one of the most beautiful alternative pop EPs of the decade. Mountain panoramas, alpine idyll, but also the hand of Grammy-winning producer Femke Weidema from Nashville can be found in it. As a former employee of the successful film composer Hans Zimmer, Weidema contributed the necessary depth to Belle Mt. sound.
The EP became a multi-layered pop work full of dramatic soundscapes, poetic lyrics and alternative pop melodies, interspersed with fine ambient soundscapes. The epic productions, which are performed live by the 3-piece band, have already been performed in front of audiences from British Summertime Hyde Park (with Bruno Mars and Khalid) to 1Live Popfest Gelsenkirchen (with Clean Bandit and Macklemore).
The combination of the powerful and complex beats of Chris Burgess on drums and Ben Worsley's wildly swirling guitar sounds in addition to Belmont's deeply emotional vocals always left enthusiastic crowds and fans behind.
