Great day of photographing the beautiful waterfront. Such a beautiful location on the Coast of Maine.

Perfect for walking the dog, people watching, or just sitting. Beautiful views of the water and plenty of room to move. There is a lovely path and some dedicated parking. Enjoy the peacefulness.

We walked along the harbor and continued out onto this trail and followed it for about a mile or so before turning around returning to town. It's a very peaceful and scenic walk along the river. Belfast was our favorite town in Maine and this walk was one of our favorites.

We spent a lovely afternoon on the train out of the Unity, Maine station to see the changing fall colors. Lots of fun to watch families with children enjoying the ride and an easy, peaceful way to spend some time together. The crew were professional and friendly and we would recommend this 'adventure'!

We loved the Farmer’s Market! So many incredible offerings of food, crafts, jewelry and more! We can’t wait to go back.
We also had a great lunch at The Nautilus. Brown Bread pudding dessert was insanely good! Our waitress was awesome.

A wonderful experience of glass blowing with Jessica. This was my first experience with this activity and she was a great teacher. She helped me to make a beautiful pumpkin which will be a treasured reminder of this trip to Maine. I would highly recommend this activity to anyone.

This market was one of the best I've ever seen, and I've seen quite a few. So many quality vendors with great Maine products from Belfast and nearby areas -- very talented artisans and food purveyors. There's also a spacious dining area with beautiful harbor views in which you can eat some of the fantastic food you just bought. I got some smoked barbeque mussels from Stonington Coldwater Seafood that were incredible (see photo). And, there were so many free samples of just about everything. This is another great Belfast offering that makes me want to move here.

All the vendors at this market have exceptionally high quality products. The food is all local and top notch, the art work and other non-food items are all first rate. How does such a small city have so many talented farmers and artists?! Most of the customers seemed to be locals and most people knew each other, it's a friendly community where people ask after each other's family by name. We spent much more than we intended on the lovely produce, cheese, and some art, but regret none of those purchases - I'd be here every Friday if I lived here!

When one travels one must stop at all of the local museums. Sometimes the museums are just a collection in one small room. The donations supported ($5.00) Belfast Museum is filled with historical events and documents in three amazing rooms. Also next door is a "barn"(a large connecting building" with a myriad collection of items). There is also a reconstructed jail cell - and again local amazing facts. The docent is fully knowledgeable about Belfast, Maine and the history of Belfast dating about the the early ship building craft.
Take your time - ask questions - read all of the signs and posters, ask questions, gain knowledge. Remember the only history you do not know - is the history you have not yet read.

Great gift shop. Something for everyone in a variety of prices. Two floors of locally made items from art work to hats & mittens. From jewelry to housewares. A wonderful stop to find that little something to remember your trip by or a gift for that special person back home.

We visit as many Antique Shops that we can on our trips. Antique shops give one a real insight into the people who lived in a certain community. The shop is spotless. We found so many different lamp shades and a large number of lamp bases. The items are truly period, reasonably priced and available for shipping (I think). Well worth a 15 to 20 minute stop if you are looking for those special items for your home.

Belfast is a beautiful place (just like the original in (NI). This little gallery had lots of beautiful things on display and lovely staff to talk about them. Wish we had the ability to safely and economically ship some stuff. Maybe not, hmmm. It would have cost a fortune as they have so many gorgeous things. Well worth a look around for the art lover.
