Bear McCreary is the musical composer for Outlander: Original Television Soundtrack, Vol. 1 and Outlander: Season One, Volume One. He is a former protegé of Elmer Bernstein, and an Emmy winner. His work includes Battlestar Galactica, The Walking Dead, Outlander, DaVinci's Demons, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Defiance.
He has been nominated for four Emmys and won for Outstanding Main Title Theme Music for Da Vinci's Demons in 2013. In 2016 he was nominated for Outstanding Music Composition for a Series for season one of Outlander.
