- Yun3 contributionsI stayed here for three days. Despite some rainy weather, the town's atmosphere was still worth experiencing. On sunny days, the beach is stunning, with fewer tourists compared to Bondi Beach, making it much more relaxing!Written April 11, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Paul LegateUnited Kingdom20,408 contributionsBondi Beach is always worth a visit, it is very touristy and there are many other notable beaches but it is still an iconic place that is definately worth a visit whilst in the Sydney area. On our most recent stay we visited quite often in the early mornings before first light when it was busy with joggers doing the Bondi circuit. There have been some changes since the pandemic but it is still a beach that has great appeal.Written April 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Journey574996742163 contributionsSurfers Paradise is a delightful place for family outings under the sun. Conveniently located across the road are numerous restaurants, complete with underground parking. It's a wonderful spot for beach walks and water fun with the kids. Highly recommended for a family hangout.Written April 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- nitawilson70Upper Coomera, Australia106 contributionsThis was my second visit to whitehaven beach and the unspoilt beauty still astounds me today. Best place to access the beach is from Hamilton resort, taking approximately 30 minutes via a leisurely and scenic sail. The silica sand casts an almost white luminous glow against the blue backdrop of the water, making this a stunning setting for photos and to simply relax. In the heart of the Great Barrier Reef this place is not to be missed. You can swim, sunbake, or if a little more adventurous take a hike to hill inlet or snorkel at chalkies beach. Keep a lookout for the dolphins, turtles and other marine life that surround the tropical waters along this coastline - an absolute piece of Australian paradise.Written March 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Roger C5 contributionsAmazing bustling market. Went four times in two weeks and enjoyed food, crafts, music, people......Surprising number of people who attend considering Darwin's relatively small population.Written December 29, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark EWhitianga, New Zealand741 contributionsThe Strand runs a few kilometers across the front of the city along beaches and at one end a seaside swimming pool and the marina at the other end.
Lots of thing to see and do in between.
We especially went to see the ANZAC Memorial.
We also took a walk through the parks and along the beach checking out the lifeguard stations.
There are heaps of hotels, restaurants, cafes and bars along the city side of the Strand.
Something for everyone.Written April 13, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Life guards are present at times
Coral sea so water temperature is good although we only dipped our toes.
Of course this is northern Queensland so beware of Stinger Season and Crocodiles.Written April 14, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Went swimming after dinner one night no crowds, just beautiful in,
well patrolled, and the water is slightly warm, which is nice when the heat of the sun has gone for the day
great place during the day large spaces for you to relax, get hot and then go for a swim, eating places in front and then easy access to main shopping stripWritten April 2, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Many shops, cafes and restaurants within walking distance along with various levels of accomodation.
You could be anywhere in the world and not find such a beautiful stretch of sand. Three hour parking next to the surf club is handy if you are patient enough to wait for a spot.
Only 1/2 hour drive from Maroochydore and well worth the trip.Written April 16, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lifeguards all around so felt safe whilst my son tired out surfing with his hired board.Written March 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - boymomdfwDallas, TX1,839 contributionsWe were there on a rainy day so the water was really rough. The area that the life guards allowed for swimming was very short. But the beach is nice with nice facilities to change and use the restroom.Written March 21, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Vicky12 contributionsSt Kilda beach is lovely, a really straightforward tram journey from CBD that meant we got to see areas of Melbourne that we wouldn't normally have. When we got there, the weather was... not at its best! So, while we wandered up and down the beach talking about how nice the front obviously is, it was also pretty wet, grey and windy.
We went to see Luna Park nearby and then we went to Acland Street where there are lovely bars and cafes with a relaxed feel. We had some cake from one of the impressive cake shopsWritten April 7, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
