Several years ago, Mr. Jim Trabue submitted the following query to this List:

http://archiver.rootsweb.ancestry.com/th/read/gen-medieval/1999-03/0921084182
Although more research is needed on the Dupuy pedigree, Mr. Trabue's question regarding "Alix, Princess Dauphine" intrigued me.   I am also a descendant of French Huguenot Immigrant Bartholomew Dupuy who settled near present-day Richmond, Virginia with several other French Huguenot immigrants in the early 1700's.  As an aside, I've seen it mentioned that Bartholomew Dupuy is also an ancestor of Robert de Niro, but have no idea as to the proof of that relationship.
While looking for the possible identity of "Alix, Princess Dauphine," I came across the following Wikipedia entry for Humbert I, identified by Mr. Trabue as a "cousin" of Alleman Dupuy, III, son of "Alix, Princess Dauphine:"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humbert_I_of_Viennois
Since the Wiki article mentions Humbert I as a grandson of Beatrix d'Albon, is it possible that "Alix, Princess Dauphine" was a sister of Beatrix d'Albon?   From Leo's site is the ancestry for Beatrix d'Albon:
http://www.genealogics.org/ultraped.php?personID=I00027086&tree=LEO&parentset=0&display=compact&generations=8
Interestingly, Beatrix d'Albon was a descendant of Holy Roman Emperor Konrad II for whom Raphael Dupuy (ancestor of the aforementioned Alleman Dupuy) served as "Grand Chamberlain."
Does anyone know if "Alix, Princess Dauphine" (who married Alleman Dupuy, II) is a sister of Beatrix d'Albon?   Are there any other ideas as to her identity?
Thanks!

as for the DU PUY MONTBRUN family... i am researching datas for
decades

In FRANCE. each books , each author from the XVIII to the XX century
"shits" on the work of the others. each says that the others did a bad
work.

i descend from Bonne du PUY (wife of guy DE BOT) daugther of Jean du
PUY (1420/1496) son of (said Guy ALLARD XVIII century) Fouquet du PUY
dead 1424. but i am very "unsure" of these only three generations.. so
for the rest ....

after readinG all what i found on internet or in library (university,
local, regional or national) i made my own line which differs from
these of all authors (but ... as they differs from all others) .

Alleman DuPuy II Chevalier, Seigneur and
Montbrun who rendered homage in 1229 to Aimar de Poitiers. He
married Alix, Princess Dauphine (I would SAID Alix de la Tour du PIN)
.
They were parents of Alleman III described as Lord, Montbrun,
He married Florimonde DE CONDRIAL daughter of Berlion

they were parents of Bastet (dead after 1359) Marguerite de Montauban
daugther of Raynaud and Alix AURUCE

thy were parents of Guillaume x Polie DE MONTLOR daugther of Guy de
MONTLAUR and Isabelle de LEVIS

they were parents of Fouquet (see above)... your alleman bastet

Obviuously the chronology is very tight

Thanks for your reply!    There is much work to be done to prove the connection of  French Huguenot Immigrant Bartholomew Dupuy (c.1652-1743) ultimately to Raphael Dupuy.   Several years ago, I corresponded with Mr. James Trabue who believed French Huguenot Bartholomew Dupuy was definitely descended from Bartholomew Dupuy, Lord of Cabrielles, but not through Jean Dupuy who married Anne St. Heyer (as is ordinarily shown).   I'm not sure how Mr. Trabue came to this conclusion and, unfortunately, he is now deceased.

Thanks again!
