Igor Levit performs BeethovenPiano Sonata no.18
To mark the 250th anniversary of Beethoven's birth, Igor Levit performed the composer's 32 piano sonatas at the Salzburg Festival in 2020. Sonata No. 18" in E flat major, Op. 31 No. 3 was composed in 1802 and is otherwise known as "the Hunt". It comprises of four fast-paced movements. The playful and virtuosic finale is considered a masterpiece showing off Beethoven's more mischievous side.
