Kong (Pavarit Mongkolpisit), a deaf-mute assassin, lives a life of quiet desperation working for Bangkok mobsters. Despite his disability, Kong's mentor, Jo (Pisek Intrakanchit), trains him to be an unfeeling killing machine. Kong is a deaf-mute assassin unable to hear his victims begging for mercy as he completes his assignments. He meticulously silences his victims in “Bangkok Dangerous,” a beautifully gory film in which there are no heroes, just bad guys.

The pacing is usually clumsy and transitions are clunky. There are two bravura sequences not quite worth the price of submission . . . other scenes suggest that the Pang Brothers really want to make a new horror film, not retread stagnant action plots.

What a great and stylish crime drama. Too bad most people will think of the terrible remake starring Nick Cage. It has every thing including a rape scene for those of you with triggers that require warnings. It is also a beautiful love story and an action movie with a twist you'd never see coming. Making Kong deaf adds an element to the cinematic storytelling. Up there with Brother and the Boondock saints.

Okay... so, this movie is super derivative of American action movies. But that's okay, because the Thai need movies like ours starring them. BUT WHY ARE WE ADAPTING THEIR CARBON COPIES INTO MOVIES!?!? That said, there's nothing special about this film.
