adam b It's a slog. The dad doesn't seem to have real motives for keeping a stranger, torturing him, and doing the same to others, including his own family. The actor also isn't very convincing he's a crazed psychopath. The score felt off and that ending was awful. I guess everything else was fine though Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Audience Member You have to be insane to like this movie. Don’t waste your time. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 12/13/20 Full Review Audience Member This movie was amazing. It has a slow start for the first half, but hang in. The end is worth it! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/27/23 Full Review Audience Member A half decent horror which usually isn't the case. Vickers is good actress. Curran is menacing. A mans car breaks down and he finds himself in a house preparing to celebrate xmas in September. The end is really good Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member Derivative of 'The Loved Ones' but fucked-up enough in its own way. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/10/23 Full Review Audience Member this is terrible; the idea is good and i was surprised to find out what he was hiding in his basement (or wherever he was)... but everything else was terrible. the acting was terrible. the dialog was terrible. and some of the things that happened were just completely unrealistic; like, it wasn't even trying -- [SPOILER ALERT] -- there is NO way that you could cut your leg off with a guitar string in that short amount of time and THAT quitely. and WHY did he cut off his leg to get out of his chain, but somehow miraculously they were able to get her chains off afterwards without even scratching her? no. Anton Bitel Projected Figures entrapping characters and viewers alike in an awaited possibility of escape that is repeatedly frustrated, this sick psychodrama sets city against country, North against South, and blood against blood, while dismembering family values along the way.
