Terrible Terrible Terrible
I now know why this this place received one and a half stars. I just got a call not even 24 hours before my reservation that they don't have the stock and they're gonna have to cancel my reservation. Had a great experience renting our vehicle. Female employee was very friendly, vehicle was nice and clean. Reasonably priced, will be renting here from now on.

EV Rental - don't do it!! Picked up my Mach E and was excited about driving it, but the thrill soon turned to absolute frustration very quickly. When I got home I went to charge the vehicle but there was no cord so I called Avis. The agent told me that per policy THEY DON'T PROVIDE CHARGERS!!! So I asked how I'm supposed to charge it and they told me at a station. Have you tried to find an available charging station lately? I have, and it's at best inconvenient and at worst not possible. They're all taken or not in service so I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to find an available charging station so I could use the car I paid to rent. My wife had to drive it to work so she tried to charge there, but it was the same story. All were in use all day. I had to wait until after 10 pm that night for a station, then I had to sit there for 3 hours while it charged. I could have spent that time at home if Avis would have just given me a damn charger. Worst rental experience of my life and I will never ever, ever do it again. Special thanks to the management boneheads at Avis that made this policy. Their heads were clearly shoved somewhere where they don't belong when they made this policy decision./

I'm only giving these guys one star to legitimize my review. I'm a preferred member with Avis and rent cars multiple times a year with them. The company themselves are a great organization and normally go above and beyond to facilitate my traveling needs.
This place in particular in Diamond bar is owned and run by a family so they March to their own tune. I believe it's the younger of the males son maybe who is disrespectful pompous and arrogant. He tells you what he wants to tell you doesn't listen to you and tries to force you to pay more for intermediate size cars. His excuse is that they don't have small cars so you have to pay for the more expensive one when every time I've made reservations and they don't give the car I need they just upgrade me for no charge because it's their fault they don't have the car I want not mine. Either way when I attempted to let him know this he hung up on me. To make things worst I called back and a young lady answered and I could hear the guy going off about me being a difficult client and then she said she would put me on hold to find out who I spoke to although I could hear him rambling. She didn't place me on hold she placed me on ignore because she never came back to the phone. I called their corporates customer service line and I was comped my rental and I didn't go to DB. I wish I could give 0 star for this Avis location. As matter of fact, Avis should close down this location. Horrible customer service. We have been renting at Avis as they only open on Sunday. Pleass do not do business with them, you will feel sorry.

We suggested you read the customer reviews on Yelp about this store. There are negative comments all over the place after 2018. I will mark no STAR if there is such an option.
We traveled all over the country dealing with many different rental car companies, no store/company like this one treating customers so stressful and so unprofessionally.
During the walk through, there were many scratches & dents around the vehicle, mostly in the rear door and bumper. We were concerned about it and asked AVIS if it's necessary to record each one specifically on paper; but this AVIS agent did not want to do that. He just marked down the whole rear area on paper and said that it should be fine and would not bring any issue when returning it. I took his words.
Before heading out from home, my wife still took the photos, just in case, due to her suspicion about this AVIS agent's weird behavior as well as his attitude towards us.
We returned the vehicle one day early and were informed of a small dent beside the brake light at the rear right door. Even though we remembered the dent was originally there, we couldn't prove it to him because I left the iPhone and the paperwork at home. We requested to have the vehicle returned the next day ( 10-21-2021 by Rental Agreement ), so both the paperwork and photos we took would be available, and the evidence would be obvious. But this AVIS agent said he already completed the paperwork, and we couldn't return it the next day.
So my wife took the photos to that's the small dent he informed, and I chose to sign the claim form to let him make the claim just because he rushed to close the store, AND:
(A) we were willing to pay for the repair if it was done by me ( I am the only one driver), AND
(B) If it was not me then this AVIS agent will honor his words and treat his customer fairly, honestly, and professionally to return my innocence.
After I reviewed and compared the photos we took, that small dent was a pre-existed damage at the same place! We are 100% sure that we did not cause the damage and we did not owe him anything. It is the exact same spot, and it was already there when the vehicle was handed to us.
I asked my wife to call this AVIS store the next morning. This AVIS agent was very rude and refused to talk to her and refused her to show him the photos at the store. He insisted on talking to only me directly.
Then I called him later that day during my super-busy-work after vacation, and told him that I could not make it to his store during business hours. I suggested that I show him the photos and papers on Saturday morning that weekend, just two days later, if he insisted me is the only one allowed to talk to him. But this AVIS agent insisted that I had to show him the photos in person on THIS day before 5PM only!! During our conversation, he kept on telling me why this was happening all because we didn't buy the insurance from him at the first place repeatedly.
It's not right !! He was very unprofessional and stressed out customers. This AVIS store will never be on our list of recommendations and we will make sure everyone around us knows about it.

I requested a car from Expedia was supposed to be a 7 seater Ford Explorer when we we to pick it up they only had a 5 passenger Mazda and I paid for a larger car.
The car wasn't even clean it was dirty so we
had to clean our own rental car. Then the guy said he would take $15 off and he didn't but for a dirty car which is unacceptable especially since it is covid.

The Service today was HORRIBLE! I'll say this JAVIER at this location is Very , Very Disrespectful & Does not have the skills it takes to work in Customer Service!!! I've done business with this location many times in the past and because of JAVIER I'll never do business here again!!!! He's a Thief watch out for him he'll try and add money to your bill I honestly wouldn't trust him with my card watch out for his mannerisms! Avis management need to replace this guy he's absolutely NO good for business!!!!

Yes the other reviews are true. This place has cheap rentals but you get what you pay for in service. Once I got into the SUV the lady helping me with the car was already long gone and as I started to drive away the car had a weird scent as to which I later realized was a cigarette smoke scent which was never disclosed to me. The interior was filthy which led me to believe they don't clean their cars in between rentals which is weird considering we're in a "pandemic". As soon as I got home I wiped down the entire interior with Lysol and cleaned all the left over dirt stuck to the chairs and doors. I called the following business day to notify them of the cigarette smoke smell and felt immediately accused by the male employee who stated "why didn't you say anything before? You know it's a $250 charge?" He put me hold and realized the car notes in his computer mentioned the SUV had a cigarette smell so I was good. Annoying.
Oh it doesn't stop there, the day I had to return the vehicle I was greeted with a "be back in 15 minutes sign" which was more like 20+minutes and there were two other parties waiting for this guy to get back. Who closes up during business hours? This guy was a mess, he struggled to open the door for 5minutes and kept asking me for my paperwork because he couldn't access his computer cuz he locked himself out lol. Also, he left his phone off the hook so nobody can call what a freak show. When he handed me my receipt he never mentioned he was going to add on a fuel charge as I was just below the 3/4 level. It was fine I didn't want to argue I just wanted to get the hell out of that place. But if you're going to add on charges you should tell the customer first. I was ripped off. The Indian woman who works there, overcharged me many times. When I tried to explain my situation, he did not care. I couldn't understand what she was saying. She was so rude and mean. I couldn't believe it.
I don't understand why this has happened to me, but I have met other people who have also been ripped off. We are starting a group, and we will take them to court. Contact me if you want to join. We must not let this happen again to other customers.
