This is a fan fork of the Avatar - Four Nations mod with updated to run on 3.3.5

FAQ
The game crashes when starting a new game halfway through!
You're either using the old mod, or using the old mod with the new mod. Make sure you're only selecting this mod, as it does not require other mods to function.
The game crashes consistently after <specific instance>

@☈ⒶⒹical ടquirrel well, it was only this mod, but I finally figured out the problem. it's because I had an older version of this mod for a few months, and I assume that it didn't actually update it due to my CK2 launcher having some technical issues with not deleting or updating mods properly, so I deleted the mod from the game files and reinstalled it and now everything works perfectly, thank you for your help~

@CursedAnqxl are you using just this mod, or another workshop version of this mod? There is legacy versions of this mod on the steam workshop that crash in current version, and the most common cause of what you describe is having both that, and this mod checked when launching the game.

it is very possible that it could be a problem with my game version or just my computer, and the only reason I am bringing this up is because most other mods I have work without a problem, even some of the large mods out there.

but every time I try to load this mod up, it crashes right before the menu. it is a consistent crash in between the initial loading screen and the menu. and before you ask, no, I have none of the other mods activated alongside this mod.

and while I have experienced crashes like this before, it is due to me activating two incompatible mods at the same time, which as I previously mentioned, I did not do in this case. that is what genuinely confuses me here. and the fact that it seems to happen to nobody else, or nobody bothered to comment it makes me think it is more of a me issue than an everybody issue.

Any possibility you could work on compatibility with the 'Customize Appearance' mod?

Either that, or find some way for the system to not change your appearance whenever you start a game.

It would be appealing to be able to keep the appearance you had in mind for your character.

Continuing my earlier comment, i've done some slight adjustments to the pet system regarding certain pets, and now on my game at least, the avatar can get dragons and the like even as a peaceful airbender.

OR statements did not get the job done, tried that and it broke lol, so I went with active_if & listed the avatar traits along with the base firebender trait. (example for dragon)

As an avatar, players should be able to gain any kind of pet from any one element, since they are naturally of all elements themselves I feel this would make sense to some degree.

Could easily make a modifier for it to be much more difficult to tame a dragon as say, an air, earth, or water ethnically based avatar.
