This is one of my biggest projects up till now, me and fueyo had a few helping hands in the making of this map, but we dug deep into books and outdated sites for information on these topics.

This map depicts the word for Fire (descendent from Latin ‘Focus’) in the Asturleonese language(s). A minority language family in the Iberian peninsula, the black line representing the Portugal-Spain border

Amazing job. As an Asturian myself, I hope you keep on doing this type of maps.

Greetings from Miranda! And yes, me and fueyo (also an asturian) are planning on continuing

Asturleonese together with Aragonese are the languages closest to Castilian. With only a few dynastic changes during the middle ages, either of these languages could have risen to primacy over Castilian and become known as "Spanish."

TIL there are other languages in this family other than Asturian, Leonese and mirandese
