Who Is Larry David's Wife, Ashley Underwood? They've Been Together Since 2017

Larry David's got some pretty, pretty, pretty good news!

The Curb Your Enthusiasm star married his girlfriend of three years, Ashley Underwood on Wednesday in Southern California.

The couple met at Sacha Baron Cohen's birthday party in 2017. Underwood worked as a field producer on Cohen's show Who is America?. Meanwhile, Cohen's wife, Isla Fisher, appeared on a previous season of Curb Your Enthusiasm. David and Underwood were seated next to each other at dinner.

"We were seated next to each other, I think with that in mind," David told the New York Times in April of when he and Underwood first met. "Much to her surprise I left before dessert. I was doing so well, banter-wise, I didn't want to risk staying too long and blowing the good impression."

Underwood moved into his Pacific Palisades home in 2019. She brought her cat Elwood with her. The couple also shares an Australian shepherd puppy named after Senator Bernie Sanders.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Underwood and David were in lockdown mode with David's older daughter, Cazzie. (David shares Cazzie and 24-year-old Romy with his first wife, Laurie. They were previously married until 2007.)

"There's not a moment in the day when there isn't friction between at least two of us," he said of being isolated with Underwood and Cazzie, as per New York Times." Then when that gets resolved, two others are at each other's throats and it's invariably about dishes. 'You didn't do the dishes!' Or 'You didn't help with the dishes!' I think that is being screamed all over the world now."

David also joked that a "huge problem" he had while quarantining with his daughter and girlfriend was the television. He said that no one would communicate about starting a show together, making it difficult to get caught up.

"You at least have to ask. Ashley does not ask. She starts and then it's impossible to catch up. And I'll catch her. I'll walk into the room, and she'll instantly click off the TV," he recalled.

Underwood previously said that one of the perks dating David is getting a "social pass" for many events. "We'll be at a dinner party, and Larry will take his last bit of food and just stand up for us to go. I just shrug," Underwood told GQ. "He gets the laugh, and I get to ride his coattails."

Extra reported that the wedding came as a surprise, as it wasn't known that David and Underwood were engaged.

Congrats to the happy couple!
