The news comes on the heels of Grande's split from Mac Miller in April, and her "causal" dating stint turned full-fledged relationship with Pete Davidson in May.
A source told People that, “It’s a recent engagement. They’re just two people who found love quickly and make each other happy all the time. They both started talking about it this past weekend. It’s nothing they’ve been hiding."

Earlier in May, it was reported that Ariana and Mac Miller broke up after dating for two years. In September 2017, Pete announced that he was diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder. After news of his budding romance with the singer came to light, a few fans made remarks about Pete's illness, which prompted him to pen a message defending his relationship.

In the beginning of June, Pete got two Ariana Grande-inspired tattoos-- one inspired by her Dangerous Woman bunny ears and another one that shows the singer's initials "AG" written on his thumb.
June 2, 2018 - Ariana is photographed wearing her engagement ring.
While fans didn't know it then, Grande debuted her engagement at Wango Tango on June 2. According to TMZ, the ring is a $93,000 VVS1 clarity diamond set that Davidson picked it up in May. The ring was specifically made for Grande and took two weeks to complete. It's unclear when Davidson and David broke up and what day Davidson proposed, but an engagement was clearly in the works earlier than some outlets speculated.
June 5, 2018 - Ariana is ready to have Pete's kids.
