My boyfriend and I were visiting Seattle and decided to take a Harbor Cruise, which goes around the Elliott Bay inlet of Puget Sound. Although the weather was chilly--it was March--it was clear and beautiful. So it's probably wise to dress warmly, considering it can also get windy on the water.
You'll get the best views from the sun deck, where the guide stands and talks about the landmarks the boat passes, including the famed Edgewater Hotel, and about some industry in the city. Some of the views are very pretty, and even passing the other ships and machines used to load and offload them was fascinating. It's also nice to spend time on the water.
If you're spending more than a couple of days in Seattle, it's a very good idea to get a CityPASS, which includes the harbor cruise as well as aquarium tickets (which we did not take advantage of), and your choice of three other landmarks. You'll get a lot more bang for your buck.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Eleana S.San Diego, CA5463296Jan 22, 2024

This tour is pretty relaxing. You get to sit through the breeze while learning about the history of many things in Seattle. They have this in city pass and it's probably one of the better value things listed on the pass.
If you want the best seats sit on the right side on the top level. Most things that are shown are on the right side so sitting on the left side just isn't as great. Our tour guide Lin was excellent and made the tour very enjoyable. Experience is pretty much exactly 1 hour and checkin is pretty on point, 30 minutes before reservation.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - 49336366Jun 3, 2023
I had a lovely experience on the harbor cruise tour. The staff was so pleasant and the weather was gorgeous. The one hour tour is definitely worth it due to the beautiful skyline views and the occasional spotting of sea lions.
Beverages and snacks are available for purchase. This is a must-do attraction for first time visitors - highly recommended.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 7, 2023
We decided the weather was perfect for a harbor cruise. Argosy had a great schedule and we liked the size of the boat. The crew was all friendly throughout the entire cruise. The tour was well narrated and was a great mix of different facts about Seattle history. The vessel was clean and the amenities were abundant. Seating inside and out.
This was a great way to spend an hour!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 19, 2023
What an amazing experience! We enjoyed our 1 hour cruise watching the Orcas! Wow! All these years we were unaware that they were nearby in Seattle! Lol I appreciated the narration and information of the places we passed and facts about the Orcas.
Oh and I do recommend you bring a jacket w hood or nice sweater as it gets chilly if your out on the top deck!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Oct 15, 2023
Such a fun experience to get out on the harbor and seeing the city was afar. Our boat tour guide was Audrey and she was great with all the fun facts and knowledge of Seattle. It wasn't too terribly cold- we bundled up in our jackets and sat on the rooftop of the boat- it gives the best views. So fun!

This cruise was pretty good. We had Janelle as our tour guide and she did a really good job. She had great facts and stories that were every engaging. We were pretty entertained through out the entire tour. The boat was an hour trip that took you through the ship yards and all through the city highlight spots near the piers.
Downside to it was that the microphone was not as loud as it could have been so there were times we couldn't hear what she was saying. Womp womp womp.... but you just had to move around about the boat to listen closely.
They also had snacks, beverages, beer and wine on the boat if you needed it.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 659335Apr 30, 2023
This came with the city pass
It was a fun experience

They had a tour guide explaining everything about Seattle.
Staff was very friendlyHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 2, 2023
Such a fun little ride with Argosy on our recent trip to Seattle. I bought our tickets as part of a larger ticket package where you get to see multiple city attractions.
The cruise was about an hour long. It was freezing as you would expect so bring a jacket. The tour guide was funny, friendly and full of fun facts. They do a loop around the harbor and give you some history as well as jokes.
I arrived with a coffee in hand and they don't allow you to carry it on, but there is a bar with coffee, drinks and snacks available.
I do tend to get motion sickness but that didn't seem to be a problem today. Smooth sailing and plenty of bathroom options on board.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0
