Still unapologetically jamming "Laundromat" all the time.

It's just what happens. The early 2000s were ruthless with their newer artist, no secret, especially for female artists at the time.

If you didn't have the right promo managers or a good label backing you, you were at square 1 with little to no push.

Amerie, The Dey, City High, Tierra Marie, Nicole Wray (Lady Wray), Ms. Jade (semi personal reason she fell off)

The list is almost endless. All really good artists are just a failed product of not great promotion.

Amerie was dope as hell, probably still is too

she is, she's really smart and beautiful - she turned her youtube channel into a reading/book club and regularly puts out videos

Oh word

Agreed 100%

Amerie got done dirty with that 3rd album promotion..

I heard Tierra Marie was acting wild and Beyoncé even tried to intervene, but they just ended up going with Rihanna.

Tierra, in ways has displayed that was worth pulling into the game, but lots of the females kind of got struck off the roster after the fallout with Dame and Jay.

Amil was nice, too.

LOVE her voice.

Complicated is still one of my favorite songs ever 🫶🏼

Also No Doubt is an underrated gem.

She has not had it easy, and I hope she is doing good. She deserves so much!

Loved her first cd! So many good songs

Nivea is such a flop it disgusts me, how do you have an album with production from Organized Noise, The Neptunes, R Kelly, Bryan Michael Cox, and u have creative control, along with features from Lil Wayne, Jagged Edge, R Kelly, Pusha T, and Mystikal

To chart at number 80..

u/Pleasant_Abroad_5526 avatar

It happens bruh, she's not to first to have a stack production on album and fail in sales .. Promotion probably was bad!

AND THE GIRL WAS TALENTED AND LIVED NEXT TO MY GRANDMA😩

Rlly got so bad she put Rasheeda on the next album🤭

total failure for promotional/marketing

they used the completely wrong photo for the album art too; everything was messed up

you gotta launch an artist properly

It was a shame. I loved her voice though.

The-Dream filed for legal separation on December 10, 2007. Nash said that although he was in love with Nivea, his lack of experience in a family growing up meant he was "not taught how much more than love [it takes] to run a relationship. Like, 'cause love isn't just where it's gonna end. It can't start and stop with love. There has to be a certain amount of knowledge and patience that's acquired in order to keep it going and keep it straight, and I found out the hard way."
