Banks

The banks can only accept the exact amount of the bill (with the original bill stub) and only during the months of January and July. Any tax payments made after the due date must be made directly to our office.

For your convenience, real estate tax bills can be paid at the following locations:

  • Genoa Banking Center
  • Premier Bank (formerly known as First Federal Bank)

Taxpayers should contact the banks for hours and applicable policies. View bank location and phone numbers flyer (PDF).

Key Bank, PNC, and Fifth Third Bank no longer accept payments at any of their branches.

Drop Box

The Treasurer’s Office also offers taxpayers a convenient outdoor Drop-Box. Located in front of the Safety Building (at the corner of Erie and Jackson Streets, across from the Government Center), the Treasurer’s Drop-Box will accept real estate payments 24 hours a day (checks/money orders only).  Note: There are two drop boxes there (one for City of Toledo Income Taxes and one for Lucas County Property Taxes) - ours is the smaller box between the two yellow poles.

Debit/Credit Cards & eChecks

Credit card, debit card, and eCheck payments can be made via phone or online. Credit/debit card payments can also be made in person at the Treasurer's Office. However, the vendor (Paymentus) will assess a fee of 2.5% for credit/debit cards and $0.50 for eChecks.

Note: each parcel payment and fee will be processed as individual transactions. Entering incorrect payment account information will result in a returned payment fee of $5.00.

Make a debit/credit or eCheck payment online.

For credit/debit card or eCheck payment by phone, call 1-866-288-9803.

No Credit Card payments will be accepted by mail.

Any payments made after 8:00 P.M. eastern time will be processed on the next day's date. Penalties and interest will be incurred after 8:00 P.M. Eastern time on the due date. (The Paymentus website is not a part of the Lucas County Official Website, and Lucas County is not responsible for its content.)

If you require further assistance, please call the Treasurer’s Office at 419-213-4305.

Please Note
If your parcel is undergoing foreclosure, you cannot process your payment through this system. Please contact the Lucas County Treasurer's Office at (419) 213-4055.
