We stayed at the Archer after being evacuated from our Napa home due to fire danger. The front desk staff at the Archer provided a warm and friendly welcome at a stressful time. They gave us a great rate and offered cancellation flexibility since we did not know how long we would be impacted by the fires. Everyone at the hotel was friendly and helpful, but Raney and Jenna at guest services were exceptional. We stayed in The Archer's Den with a fireplace and balcony. The suite was beautiful! There was a large balcony with a fireplace overlooking downtown Napa, a living room with wet bar/mini kitchen, and a separate bedroom and bath. The suite was huge, and featured a wonderful modern wine country vibe. The bathroom had a large walk-in shower, double vanity and huge soaking tub. As locals, we have frequented the Sky and Vine rooftop bar and Charlie Palmer Steak on numerous occasions. Now that we have experienced the beautiful rooms and exceptional hospitality, the Archer will definitely be at the top of our list of recommendations to our Napa visitors or locals looking for a "Stay-cation"!

Upon arriving to Napa we carefully selected the Archer as our NYE destination/hotel. My partner and I were over the top pleased with the beautiful hotel, modern decor, and extremely attentive staff. They gave us a tour of the property/room explaining how all the amazing gadgets work from the personal fireplace on the balcony, to a TV that rises from a built in stand. The quality of finishes, and over all cleanliness of our room shows that the Archer is really all about creating a unique and special experience for all guests. We enjoyed the NYE buffet as well as live bands, photos shoots, open bar, casino games, etc. such a magical night to ring in the New Years! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quality hotel with quality staff.

We stayed here for a couple of nights for the purpose of wine tasting in Napa Valley. Fancy that! We made the choice of Archer based on recommendation of "Wine Spectator Magazine". It was a five star experience. I was fortunate to get a favorable room rate without resort fees. There were no hidden costs. The facilities were excellent with more than a touch of class. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Regarding Covid-19, it was refreshing to see the compliant attitude with many hand cleaning stations, general cleanliness, and staff always wearing a mask. The location was outstanding with myriad restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Downtown Napa is very pleasant and we enjoyed just walking around and experiencing the pleasant ambiance.

I have been executive in hotel management from smaller luxury boutiques to big box full service, and I can assure you that this hotel delivers! Our room was spotless and impeccably clean, you could literally eat off the floors. High end amenities like complimentary Fiji water and Malin & Goetz toiletries give you the 5-star feel, whilst the artsy bathroom vanity and redwood forest glazed glass give you a unique sense of place. I recommend getting a balcony suite. The balcony itself is spacious, private, well-fusnished and oh so cozy amidst breathtaking views of the mountains in the distance. This is a modern hotel thoughtfully designed with amenities meant for the contemporary, tech savvy guest, but with a warmth and comfort that guests of any generation will enjoy and feel like home in. This hotel is value, value, value, and I will be telling anyone I know who is travelling to Napa to book this hotel! Well done, Archer.

We celebrated our anniversary at Archer. Our room was beautiful with a fireplace on balcony. The staff were supper helpful and friendly. The hotel was very clean and made us feel comfortable with requiring masks & hand sanitizers in various locations. Located at the heart of downtown Napa, we were able to walk to restaurants for dinner. Highly recommend staying at Archer.

Although the staff and hotel customer service were great, the room was not. The bathroom barn door rolling mechanism was broken. The door fell off the rollers on me twice and getting it to close was a challenge. Engineering was sent up but door never fixed. Housekeeping did not clean our bathroom but only picked up our dirty towels off the floor and rehung them. We requested a cleaning of the bathroom and housekeeping came back and literally only changed our towels. When you’re paying over $500 a night, you expect better than this. Very disappointed. Will not stay there again.

Archer is a beautiful hotel: great location, lovely room & bathroom, comfy bed, love the balcony with chairs and table. I also appreciate the energy efficiency of lights & HVAC turning off when leaving the room. FYI - I was in room 571. I did notice that only one of the numerous USB plugs worked to charge my phone (all the others would not allow the USB plug to insert completely and therefore would not charge). Something is wrong with the plugs. I also noticed that the view to the left from the balcony, towards the spa level above us, has a bright yellow mop bucket visible to the balconies facing east. I thought it a bit tacky for a luxury hotel to miss that detail. Lastly, we had drinks and ordered nuts in the upstairs bar. The drinks were good but we were disappointed in the nuts. We got the drinks quickly, but it took ten to fifteen minutes to get the nuts & they were just nuts from a can poured into cup. We saw hot food that was ordered after us being served before we got the nuts. We thought they must be warming the nuts or mixing them with herbs. So, for $6, when we saw plain nuts presented, it was puzzling and below standards for a property such as yours. I share these small details because I am a retired business owner & I appreciated honest feedback.

The hotel is well decorated with a style that matches the simple elegance of Napa. The rooms are comfortable and what you expect at this higher end luxury price point. The location in the middle of downtown Napa allowed us to take a much needed shopping break after days of wine tastings. The rooftop deck also offered a nice quiet place to relax during the day and a great place for group happy hours in the evenings. Workout geeks will like the well maintained gym which is a good size for boutique hotels of this size. But I'd say the best part of the hotel was its service. The concierge was friendly and helpful offering delicious lunch and dinner recommendations and making it very easy for me to ship my purchased wine bottles home. I also have to call out the staff at Charlie Palmer Steak downstairs who went the extra mile to make sure I had all I needed to give my husband an impromptu birthday cake celebration. Highly recommend!

Overall stay was pleasant, clean, and comfortable. My husband is a Veteran and we appreciate that all the rooms were dog friendly so that our dog was easily able to accompany us throughout the hotel. She really helps to ease him, and there are no words to express how thankful we are that she was by his side. We were not really able to get a dining experience at the restaurant downstairs as it was not dog friendly. Hoping that different sitting options that could be added so that ppl with they companions would be able to have a dining experience as well. I had booked the Deluxe King room, but the view was towards an alleyway, personally I thought we would have had a better view for that room and price tag. Our TV went mute every 15 minutes, I asked for it to be looked at multiple times but nobody ever got to fixing that issue. In regards to the food, we ordered an omelet with no cheese, however when we got back to the room it was filled with cheese. The avocado toast was delish, and coffee as well. The beverage service upstairs at Sky was horrible. The first night we waited for 30 minutes to order a drink, the bartenders were not paying attention to those who were waiting patiently for long periods of time. We were told by a waiter to wait at the end for service, but that was incorrect information. We went back to Sky for a beer the second night, order some wings as well. Received the wings after 30 minutes, however no beer was ever given. The waiter went to tell the bartender of the missing beer, and the bartender pointed towards us and just shrugged. Other than those kinks, we enjoyed our stay at the Archer.

Good friends recommended The Archer to us when we were planning our trip to the California Wine Country and we are glad they did. Other than a mildly frustrating experience when my wife called to change the reservation by a day (which was promptly resolved by a manger apologizing and giving us a room upgrade for our troubles) this hotel was great. We stayed in a room in the "01" line which is marketed as a suite but, as with many "suites" these days, is essentially a generously sized room with a couch and sitting area. The nice thing about this room was the balcony, which was larger than most and spanned two sides of the room. The bathroom was spacious as well. The hotel offers valet parking at $30 per day which is really your best option if you have a car since most street parking is limited to 2 hours and the local garages that we found do not allow overnight parking. Conveniently located right in the middle of downtown Napa, there are lots of restaurants, bars and shops within easy walking distance. The OxBow Market, a local favorite, is a half mile away. The hotel boasts a fantastic rooftop which really makes good use of the space. One half of the roof is given over to a spa, water lounging deck (6 inches deep with lounge chairs and side tables in the water), and gym. I used the gym twice during our stay and had no issue accessing a machine. Likewise, my wife and I sat by the water deck and found chairs and cabana areas readily available. There is no food or beverage service by the pool area, but you can always bring in food/beverages from the Sky & Vine bar and restaurant located on the roof. The Sky & Vine occupies the other half of the roof and is a great way to end the day. Although open for lunch and dinner, we visited the Sky & Vine after dinner one night and enjoyed a few drinks sitting around a firepit - a great way to end an evening. The only drawback is that the place closes at 10PM which seems to be in keeping with many of the places in Napa that seem to "roll up the sidewalk" at 9 or 10. There is also a Charlie Palmer Steak restaurant in the hotel although we did not eat there. It is an easy drive from the hotel to many wineries and we enjoyed the "in-town" location. When my wife and I return to the California Wine Country, The Archer will definitely be on our list.

I cannot answer the question about the rooftop bar, that question would be better asked directly to the hotel. We enjoyed the wineries we visited, Materra Cunat, Caldwell and Mumm's., but I would hesitate to recommend for someone else. Post a question on the Napa Valley travel forum for recommendations.
