I did play a 1v1 once. He at min 5 he asked if I ever played online and when I said no he gave me a 15min treaty time. He beat me in 16 min.
I only play against ai and love the game after 15 years no mod. I am not in the spectrum… But I really do love AOE3 and can’t wait for new update!!!
I'm trying to play ranked supremacy 1v1, but it takes like 1-2 seconds of delay every time I command someone to do something. I'm from Brazil.
EDIT: I don't have this delay in any other online game I play (LoL, DotA 2 and Albion).
Thank you for reading.
I started playing the game a month ago and I really enjoyed it, going from medium to hard, to hardest difficulty on skirmish on supremacy mode. At hardest I sort of hit a wall, in the sense that sometimes I can beat the AI, sometimes I can't. That's ok, but the real problem to me, is that the ai seems to be able to shit out troops like not tomorrow, if left alone for too long. Far more than some player should. Basically, I have to do some age 2/3 rush on them, otherwise they grow too big. If the rush succeeds then I don't even have to reach age 4 to beat them and it's kind of anticlimactic, if it doesn't, I might as well restart the game, since when they reach age 4 it's the apocalypse. If I didn't know any better I'd say the Ai is cheating with the resources somewhat. I like seeing the big fights, the pew pew, but I can't really get to that if I destroy their economy within the first 10 minutes, therefore I don't really like that playstyle, even if I understand it's effective. Do I just need to git gud with eco management to be on par with ai production or are you forced to kill them before they grow exponentially?
With the latest changes, spamming organ guns is overpowered as hell in team games. They trade evenly with or even beat their supposed counters and have crazy mobility with the age 4 card. The only way to trade well against them is with expert culverin micro, while the port player just has to attack move in basically every scenario. I'm not playing any more team games until this is fixed.
I mean, there are some maps where you don't really have a choice because there are so few, and some treasures that are obviously extremely dope (additional villagers for example) but probably too well guarded for your AgeI Explorer.
But if you have a choice, what would have priority? My personal theory for the ideal sequence in Exploration Age is:
-
Unguarded treasure (before the opponent grabs them)
-
EXP (at least before you get the first vill shipment)
-
Any kind of ressource trickle treasure (very rare but on some maps)
-
Food (because age-up)
-
Wood (because houses, market and its upgrades)
-
Healing units (both useful to collect more treasures and in AgeII)
-
Native warriors (both against guardians AND regular units)
-
Pets (good against guardians)
-
Coin
-
Lifestock
I guess if you play Dutch or Indians it would be a bit different regarding coin/wood, but that's kinda what I came up with. As mentioned, villagers would be Nr.1 but it's usually only realistic in Commerce.
Hello, i main the French and ive been trying to expand my strat from just an FF. Ive been trying to look into bettering my semi - FF and trying a 12/10 strat but one thing that destroys me in games are rushes.
How would the French defend from a rush from, say, the Ottos or Russians?
Thanks.
I’m around elo 1200 and I’m so tired of playing Otto every other game.
One of the things that I love about AOE3 is the block training system. So unlike Command and Conquer and Warcraft In Space.
Have y'all encountered another RTS that trains units in blocks, instead of queues? I prefer to wait for a few seconds and get the 5 Musketeers I paid for all at once, instead of waiting for 1 Marine to stumble out of the barracks every few seconds.
the card to send indonesian elephants now increases their pop cost, every time ti is sent. RIP
I was wondering if anyone knew of a list that had all the Age of Empires 3 de units and where the correspond in a category like Skirmishers, light cavalry, heavy infantry etc...?
Thanks in advance.
if malta revolts to another state, do the troops still recieve bonuses to health from each card sent ? do they get only the bonuses they had durning maltese flag? do they get it whenever?
I never seen someone winning a match with this rev and some friends told me as well this revolution is a joke from the devs and as far as I have played it I agree with them.
But I am not a professional of this game so I come here looking for advices/strats and maybe a deck for making Canada playable. I seen the revolution deck changes depending if you reach it from French or British.
This are the according decks of each one.

British:
Any civ approachment/advice/deck or even just a strategy is welcome.
I recently installed the trial version because it was on sale. I downloaded it, played for 10 hours, and liked it. But now the sale has ended. I can't wait to know when the next one is coming.
do you know if promotions unit get are additive or multiplicative with upgrades from blacksmith, cards or the barracks upgrades?
Do mercenaries get buffs from cards which give health to heavy infantry, musket infantry etc... ?
I was enjoying my day outputting colonial amounts of Torps when a band of New World revolutionaries walk into my base unannounced. "How dare these ruffians dressed in rags disturb my Torping?" I say as I gather the Caroleangang. My opponent tries to make use of his superior range, yet I am in no state of distress.
"Gentlemen… draw swords!" I shout as my doritos laden finger hovers over the c key. CHAAAARRRGEEEEE
Anyway, I torped some more then I lost the game.
What the title says. Playing against the Indians as the Japanese, I captured some of their sacred cows and saw that I could of course send them to my vegan shrines to generate resources. However, I can't but wonder, if I were playing as a meat eating civ, could have I sent them to the livestock pen to fatten them and eat some beef, as usual?
also im having trouble locating the savegame files its like they don't exist? any help? if I saved it in the c:/
