Enrique has been out of work since the conclusion of last year's Qatar World Cup following Spain's shock defeat to Morocco in the last 16.

The Spaniard would be interested in holding talks over taking charge at Tottenham if the vacancy becomes available, according to The Times.

The 52-year-old has been out of club football since leaving Barcelona in 2017.

But the possibility of managing in the Premier League for the first time in his career has apparently caught Enrique's attention.

Enrique's record of achievements would give Spurs fans hope that he is the best man for the job, having won the Champions League and LaLiga among other honours during his time managing in Spain.

He also led Barcelona to a magnificent treble trophy haul in 2014 that saw Enrique get the very best out of an attacking trio consisting of Neymar, Luis Suarez, and Lionel Messi.

It is further hoped that appointing Enrique could convince star striker and England captain Harry Kane to sign a new contract.

The 29-year-old is a target for other clubs in the summer, including Manchester United, and has just over a year left on his existing deal.

'I want to coach, I see myself wanting to take on a club and be able to develop with greater finesse and precision what I have not been able to do in the national side,' Enrique said in a Twitch interview with internet celebrity Ibai Llanos.

Thomas Tuchel, 48, German - odds: 12/1

Tottenham are reportedly struggling to convince Thomas Tuchel to be their new manager despite the ex-Chelsea boss being a Spurs fan.

The ex-Borussia Dortmund boss, 49, is thought to be keen on a return to England, according to The Sun.

Tuchel was sacked by new owner Todd Boehly in September following Chelsea's 1-0 Champions League defeat to Dinamo Zagreb.

He won 60 of his 100 games in charge of Chelsea, leading them to Champions League success when they defeated Manchester City 1-0 in Porto.

The German enjoyed living in London and was even linked with taking the England job after the World Cup, but the FA decided to keep their faith in Gareth Southgate.

It is understood Tuchel is also learning Spanish, which would indicate a potential move to a club in LaLiga - a league he is yet to manage in.

He has previously worked in the Bundesliga - notably for Borussia Dortmund - and Ligue 1 with PSG before his move to the Premier League.

His tenure at Chelsea ended just 100 days into Todd Boehly's ownership. Sportsmail reported at the time that Tuchel would being paid £13million as a severance package, with a further £2m going to his backroom staff.

After being sacked, an emotional Tuchel released a statement saying: 'This is one of the most difficult statements I have ever had to write - and it is one I hoped I would not need to do for many years.

'I am devastated that my time at Chelsea has come to an end.

'This is a club where I felt at home, both professionally and personally. Thank you so much to all the staff, the players and the supporters for making me feel very welcome from the start.

'The pride and joy I felt at helping the team to win the Champions League and the Club World Cup will stay with me forever.

'I am honoured to have been a part of this club's history and the memories of the last 19 months will always have a special place in my heart.'

Roberto De Zerbi, 43, Italian - odds: 20/1

Roberto De Zerbi is being lined up as Conte's successor at Tottenham, according to The Telegraph.

The 43-year-old has been attracting plenty of interest after carrying on the superb work done by Graham Potter.

De Zerbi has taken the Seagulls up to seventh in the Premier League table and is now being linked with the exit at the Amex.

He proved himself to be one of Europe's best young coaches during his three seasons at Sassuolo, earning the admiration of all Italy's top clubs.

The Italian led the small Emilian club to two eighth-place finishes in Serie A.

Sassuolo played attractive attacking football and developed players such as Manuel Locatelli, Domenico Berardi and Giacomo Raspadori, all involved in Italy's Euro 2020 triumph.

He ultimately joined Shakhtar Donetsk in 2021 but war rendered him jobless.

He declined Bologna but agreed to Brighton & Hove Albion, aware of the clear parallels to Sassuolo.

While De Zerbi joined a club who were flying under Potter, he has added his own imprint too, with players particularly struck by the level of tactical detail in training sessions.

Their one-touch passing style and swift movement is the envy of many Premier League teams.

Oliver Glasner, 48, Austrian - odds: 11/1

Tottenham have reportedly made contact with Eintracht Frankfurt manager Oliver Glasner to replace Conte, according to Bild.

The 48-year-old Austrian boss' contract is due to expire in 2024 with the Bundesliga club.

Glasner guided Frankfurt to an impressive Europa League win last season, however they were unable to beat Serie A leaders Napoli in the last 16 this year.

Frankfurt beat the likes of Barcelona on their way to the title before overcoming Rangers on penalties in the final in Seville.

Former Frankfurt head coach Friedhelm Funkel said Glasner would be tempted by such interest.

'Eintracht Frankfurt is a great club, but there are even more attractive jobs,' he told Sky Sport Germany on Sunday.

'If a request comes from abroad, then I believe that Oliver will think about it.'

He added: 'At Eintracht, you don't know whether the team can be kept together... the risk of staying in Frankfurt is too great.'

Glasner started his playing career at SV Riedau before moving to SV Reid in 1993.

In 2011, the former defender suffered a cut above the eye after he collided with right-back Mario Sonnleitner during a league match against Rapid Wein.

He was then due to face Brøndby IF in a Europa League qualifying game but in the final head ball training session he suffered a brain haemorrhage.

Glasner survived following an operation, but retired after more than 500 league appearances.

Mauricio Pochettino, 51, Argentine - odds: 10/3

Mauricio Pochettino is targeting an emotional return to Tottenham, according to reports.

The Argentine was sacked in 2019 after a torrid run following their Champions League final defeat to Liverpool but has made no secret of his desire for another shot at the job.

According to The Times, Pochettino, 51, has kept on good terms with chairman Levy.

The two shared a close relationship during Pochettino's five-year stint in north London, beginning in 2014.

Pochettino is thought to still live at the Hertfordshire address he stayed at during his time as Spurs boss and he would be a popular appointment having built up a strong rapport with fans and played exciting, attacking football.

However, there could be opposition to Pochettino's appointment from sporting director Fabio Paratici, whose last two managers - Nuno Espirito Santo and Conte - both played with a back three, with Pochettino favouring a back four.

Since leaving Tottenham, Pochettino has had one job in the game - an 18-month spell with PSG, where he won Ligue 1 and the Coupe de France before being sacked after a disappointing campaign in the Champions League.

Speaking to BT Sport in 2020, Pochettino made it clear he wanted another chance of managing the club in the future - saying it was his 'dream' to finish what he started after narrowly missing out on the Champions League trophy and coming second to Chelsea in the 2016-17 season.

'Deep in my chest, my soul, my heart - I am sure that we will cross [paths] again,' he said. 'From the day that I left the club, my dream is to be back and to try to finish the work that we didn't finish. We were so close to winning the right trophies, the Premier League and the Champions League.

'Maybe in five years, maybe in 10 years, and now I'm going to conspire with the universe and to throw out the idea that before I die, I want to manage Tottenham again and try if possible to win one title.

'I still feel that it's my club, my place,' he said. 'I think when you really feel with the commitment and when you feel the people give everything to try to be successful, and they treat you really, really good how they treat us, it's impossible to forget that.

'That is why I think Tottenham is always going to be a special club for me.'

Harry Redknapp, 76, English - odds: n/a

Former Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has said that he would be willing to make a sensational return to Tottenham if Spurs sack Conte.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Redknapp said: 'If someone asks you, I think it would be hard to say no, I'll be truthful. When you love it, you do find it hard to say no.'

The 76-year-old said he has not been in contact with Levy over a potential return. 'No, definitely not, that has not happened,' he added.

'But you look at what you're doing now, sitting around, having a game of golf, and it's not the money, it's the challenge, you love it, the buzz of it, winning a game is a fantastic feeling. It's hard to say no.'

He revealed he'd 'love' to return in a role alongside Ryan Mason as Redknapp believes he could aid the 31-year-old until the end of the season.

'Yeah of course, I would love that,' he continued. 'With a young manager I often think that they don't use older figures, but I think there is room for older people to go in with them and work with a young manager, even if it was only for a couple of days a week just to be around.

'They can bounce ideas off you – I think that's important. It's a lonely job and you need all the help you can get.'

The former Portsmouth boss spent a successful four years with Tottenham between 2008 and 2012, recording 98 wins in 198 matches in London. He also guided Spurs to the Champions League.

Redknapp's last role in football came at Birmingham City, where he lasted just 13 games before announcing his retirement from management after 34 years in the dugout.

Since then, Redknapp admitted that he would be interested in a return to Premier League management when Leeds United dismissed Jesse Marsch last month, and would now be keen on a second spell at Spurs.
