- NAP7 contributionsUnreal Avatar ExperienceThe cloud forest avatar experience is a must go. Would recommend to come after the lights are on (roughly 6pm). The flower dome is also a nice place to visit. Would suggest to go there at 3-4pm to enjoy the flower dome and the supertree grove. Then can go visit the cloud forest.Visited November 2022Written November 22, 2022
- Tsuki9 contributionsWorth a visit! We spent an afternoon here which is good to look around although the weather was really hot. We didn’t enter the paid area as it looked too crowded when we were there. The place was huge. We walked around just half of the whole place, I guess. We quite enjoyed it. It was worth a visit. There’s Starbucks, McDonald, and Shack Shack to relax a bit.Visited November 2022Written November 23, 2022
- Pumpkin20Bathurst, Australia349 contributionsBeautiful gardensGreat way to spend a few hours. The gardens are beautiful especially the domes, great place to be on a hot Singapore day! We visited when they had an Avatar exhibition? Experience? Not really sure what you would call it!so it was a bit busy. The signage could do with an update it’s a bit difficult to follow.Visited November 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten November 24, 2022
- OtterPathLondon, United Kingdom28 contributionsWorth visitingEasy to book, although wish they did a pass for all gardens. Pre-book and use E tickets to avoid queues. Well laid out, visitor flow very considered. Cloud Forest is incredible. Light show at night is well worth visiting.Visited November 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten November 26, 2022
- 1234emmaEngland, United Kingdom372 contributionsBeautiful!Loved our night, it’s not nearly as impressive during the day. Bought tickets for sky bridge online, simple to scan and enter attraction after a 15 minute queue. Worth a walk around the gardens before also. I would exit onto Marine bay, lovely walk and can stop off in the hotel for drinks, food or shopping. Ce la vie could be visited at the same time although booking needed, highly recommended. We were a family of 3 in Singapore for three days and also enjoyed, Orchard road, little India, Arab street, China town, Tanjong Pagar ( drinks and meal on a night) Not a cheap city, but a lovely visit!!Visited November 2022Traveled with familyWritten November 27, 2022
- JohnP72London, United Kingdom493 contributionsSpend half a dayI spent over half a day walking around the gardens including some of the attractions and I was pleasantly surprised that it was not busy at all. I went up the Supertree observatory at around 09.30 a.m. and at one point I was the only person on the observatory deck which allowed amazing views of the whole gardens. I also bought the combined ticket for the cloud forest and flower dome. The price of this seems to have increased due to the Avatar exhibit which although it had a couple of interactive displays it’s probably more for the kids. Nonetheless the cloud forest was really good and I’d say it’s still a must see, with the flower dome not as good. Again neither were that busy in the morning. I then spent the rest of the day walking through the lovely gardens which are free and have some nice themed zones. It’s also worth visiting the Marina Barrage (concrete dam) which is free and has a grass roof top which offers great views of the whole of Marina Bay. I also returned in the evening to watch the music and light garden rhapsody at the supertree grove which was worth doing. Overall the whole gardens are a must see and are visually stunning. I highly recommend!Visited November 2022Traveled soloWritten December 2, 2022
- Sherry QAtlanta, Georgia23 contributionsAmazing experience , a must see for sureA must see when in Singapore! Absolutely magical! We went for the Christmas lites and they were amazing, a mix between a winter wonderland and Avatar. Plenty to do there and very well done. Beautifully done and the light show was over the top.Visited December 2022Traveled with friendsWritten December 5, 2022
- Osula NLos Angeles, California122 contributionsDefinitely Do the Cloud ForestIf you come to Singapore, you have to check this place out. If you don't have time, I'd just check out the Cloud Forest and the OCBC Skyway. If you can, come in the evening for the Supertree light show at 7:45 PM. I came here, via MRT, on a late Monday afternoon in early December 2022. Apparently if it rains, you will not be granted access to the OCBC Skyway. At the time I went, there was a Christmas thing going on so there was no reentry after leaving the Supertree Grove area, which something I did not know about. They made me pay another $12 on top of everything else to get back into the Supertree area for the 7:45 PM light show. This place is huge. Give yourself plenty of time and where good walking shoes. I didn't get to see the Floral Fantasy but if I ever go back to Singapore I'd probably try that one. The guy I bought tickets from didn't recommend that one so I didn't check it out.Visited December 2022Traveled soloWritten December 6, 2022
- Melanie TNew York City, New York4,543 contributionsGarden Rhapsody is free and at 7:45 and 8:45 each night, lasting about 15 minAn obvious tourist attraction you should check out when visiting Singapore. Yes, it can get crowded but it's definitely worth checking out the Supertree Grove (this is free but if you want to do the sky walk, you need to buy tickets). It's more crowded at night since most people want to see the trees lit up at night - especially for the Garden Rhapsody show, which is every night at 7:45 and 8:45. The show lasts for about 15 minutes. If you're coming from the Shoppes at Marina Bay, there's a way to cut through the mall, instead of walking all the way outside and around to the Grove. The day time is much less crowded. It's still pretty in the day time so I would recommend checking it out both times if you can. During the day, there are some hawker stalls set up by the Supertrees. Also in the same vicinity is the Cloud Forest and the Flower Dome (tickets required for each). You would need a whole day just to explore the area, especially if you want to lump in Marina Bay as well. We ended up trekking to the area on two separate days from Chinatown (where we were staying) and it was totally worth the trip.Visited September 2022Traveled as a coupleWritten December 8, 2022

This is a truly wonderful area. We visited the Bay in late January during the day. The area is huge however there are shuttle busses to get you around if you want to use them. We walked! Seemed like a good idea, but Singapore is hot and very humid so you need to find shade and drink water.
The area is full of interesting quirky statues plus the very tall metal tulip shaped towers which are covered in plants. The tallest tower has a lift to the top (extra cost) the views are great 360deg over the gardens, the bay and city. There is also a “canopy walkway” (extra cost) but well worth it, after all you will only do it once!
After all that there are the two domes, flower and cloud. Don’t miss either of them, one benefit is that it’s cool inside! The flower dome is divided up into areas of the world. Showing off the fauna and flowers of each. The central area while we were there was a riot of colour using dahlias amongst other plants. The cloud dome has a very high waterfall falling down a plant covered “mountain”. This has a lift to the top and numerous walkways on the way down. I cannot describe the landscape you really do need to see for yourself.
You won’t be disappointed.
There is a cafe/restaurant in the park to give you sustenance in various cuisines and a break from the heat.

We visited the gardens both in the day and at night. In the day we only did the sky walk which was around S$8 pp giving great views on the gardens and city. It was a wonderful experience to see the Garden Rhapsody in the evening at 7:45pm / 8:45pm. My favourite place we visited when in Singapore and would highly recommend both visiting in the day and evening.

Brilliant Brilliant Brilliant !
This man-made master piece lives up to the the hype and offers a beautiful experience worth the lifetime.
The Musical Light Show is spectacular and if you fail to get a ticket (limited tickets makes it impossible to accommodate everyone so please book it way in advance) to observe it from the viewing deck
The light show takes place twice every night and is on for 15 minutes. The first show is on at 7:45pm and the second is on at 8:45pm. An extra show on Holidays is added, for which you'll have check on their official website (usually a 9.45pm show) .
There are many spots to see this beauty but our favorite (and Highly recommended) was to lie down on the concrete circles supporting the Garden Towers called Super tree Groves an hour prior to the show as they fill-in fast.
Others being:
From above, on the skywalk of Marina Bay Sands Hotel, decent view minus the music
On the promenade by the Dragonfly Lake, at the park entrance between Marina Bay Sands and Gardens by the Bay.
The Deck / Skywalk exactly above the public loo overlooking the Super tree Groves (have some steps to climb up)
Other than that there are observatories like Cloud Forest, Flower Forest Dome which are worth the dime.
Numerous sculptures and and arts installed in beautiful corners are worth enjoying.
Restaurants are plenty but standards aren't that great so would suggest to stick to McDs in the Garden.

Alight from Station Bayfront MRT and walk to Garden By The Bay, this stretch of walk is not sheltered and can be quite hot when it is bright sunny day. Garden By The Bay is free entrance, but there are 2 conservatories that need ticket to enter, Flower Dome & Cloud Forest. Certain areas are quite cooling, elderly might need extra clothing.

We visited the gardens at night to get most of the light show, which is beautiful. The light show takes place every 45 mins and it gets very busy. Best way to see it is to find a spot in the middle of the tree sculptures and lay down on the floor. You can walk around a lot of the gardens free of charge, any attractions such as the viewing platform, sky bridge, cloud dome or flower dome are extra charge. If bought together, it’s cheaper.

I like how the Gardens by the Bay (GBB) always organizes themed events to draw visitors to revisit the place. I am not a nature fan but I'm always enticed to visit the Gardens a few times every year for events like the tulip fair in April/May, the Mid Autumn lantern display in September/October and the outdoor Christmas market in November/December.
I was lucky during my weekend ramble in the GBB as there were three events going on as the same time! There is the 'Glass in Bloom' event spanning several months, where colourful Dale Chihuly glass sculptures of every shape, shade, and size were on display around the Gardens, outdoors on the manicured lawns where admission is free as well as inside the airconditioned Flower Dome where entry is ticketed. (See photos.)
Then there are big, handcrafted figures of bunnies, deers, children, boats etc set up at the Supertree Grove, on the lawns and meadow and around the Dragonfly Lake, which I think will be beautiful at night when the whimsical lanterns are lit up for the month long Mid Autumn Festival celebrations (centered around its actual date Sept 21st, 2021). As I visited GBB in the day, I missed seeing the lanterns all lit up after sunset. I would recommend visiting in the late afternoon or early evening so one can enjoy the GBB sights in both daylight and after dark.
I managed to spy from a distance a larger than life Miffy who was making her rounds at the Flower Dome on Sunday; she and her chaperone were mobbed by excited kids and their parents who wanted to take wefies. Miffy's presence was part of the GBB's Children Day's Festival. Around the Supertree Grove were several big, colourful rubber animals - a centipede, a teddy bear, etc. Pre-covid, children will be climbing up and bouncing on these big rubber animals, but due to covid and distancing rues, they can only gawk and snap photos. I guess I was lucky last weekend to be part of a triple bill at the Gardens.

The place is insane. I was there before Christmas but they already started celebrating and attract tourists. Ceremonies are going every 45 mins for 15 minutes and i would recommend to go there at night because the view is incredible. Entrance is 10 Singaporean Dollar for simple tour in the gardens. If you want to visit the whole complex, you must pay 38 dollar but you need to be there in a day because they are closing some parts of the garden after 6-7PM. Everywhere is tree and botanic. Very easy to access by metro and you can find a lot of signs whos here so you cannot get lost. I was really impressed and wasnt expect that good. If you want to go up in the trees you must pay another 7 Dollar inside the garden. This is seprate from the enrance fee. Food is kinda cheap but beers are expensive. There is also a food court inside the garden and a lot of options. So you wont be hungry. Prices are cheaper than the market/.

Free to enter for the most part, the two things to pay for if you wish are the Flower Dome and Cloud Forest. Both are super airconned and we think that's probably why they have a fee. We visited both.
The Flower Dome was beautiful we spent about an hour and a half here. There are multiple sections housing plants from different areas of the world e.g. Mediterranean, Californian, the desert etc. We're not mad into plants but loved walking around and seeing it all. There seemed to be some sort of exhibition on Japanese Blossom Trees which was very beautiful. We think it was about 20$ for the two domes but we did get a discount through our hostel.
The Cloud Forest was amaaaazing, theres a giant structure covered in plants with a man made waterfall! Awesome photo opportunities! You then travel up through the middle structure and work your way down through various levels and exhibitions. You can also walk along sky walkways or tree top walk ways. Very high up for the people who fear heights but you can travel down via stairs or lifts. At the bottom there was a good section on climate change and how we can help. Very informative and interactive for children. Misting of the plants happens every even hour...2PM, 4PM etc. We missed the 2PM one and forgot to hang around for the 4PM one but on exiting you get a stamp to allow you to reenter the same day if you wish, so we popped back in for the 4PM misting. Worth seeing! We spent about 1.5 hours here. We think we paid about 20$ for the two domes but we got a discount through our hostel.
Outside the domes there are vast amounts of gardens housing plants from all over the world. We mainly walked through the Malay and Chinese gardens. I'd say you could spend several days getting around it all. There was an option to get shuttle buses but we just walked.
The Gardens by the Bay light show is outstanding! We tried to get up to the Skywalker (?SCBC?) but the queue was too long and to be honest we reckon we got the better view from down on the ground. The theme was opera - not our cuppa tea but it was stunning to watch the lights flicker and come on with the music. The next theme until June is fantasy which means Disney! So jealous we didnt get to see that one!! To view from the ground it was free, make sure you get a good spot with the super tree in your view. You could also go up to the super tree and have a meal, no idea how expensive that would have been. I think the SCBC was about 20$.

There are so many attractions in this area that it could easily take a full day. We opted to visit the gardens (free), the Garden Rhapsody night time light show (free - get there early to find a good seat for viewing; it was packed by 7:15 for the 7:45 show), the Flower Dome (paid attraction - super busy due to cherry blossom season), the Cloud Forest (paid attraction), and the Skyway (paid attraction). We felt it was money well spent on three unique attractions. The indoor greenhouses are well maintained, well labeled, and organized in sections so you can learn more about the flora or tree species you are looking at. The Flower Dome and Cloud Forest are closed once or twice a month for maintenance so check the dates on the official website before booking tickets. There was quite a queue to buy tickets so you may consider buying tickets online. There is a sign with a QR code that you can scan to buy tickets online if you showed up and the line was long. There are different prices for locals and foreigners and they do accept credit cards. We took the MRT to Gardens by the Bay which was a bit of a trek to the entrance/ticketing office. Recommend Bayfront stop instead as an alternative. There is still some walking for the latter through MBS Mall, MBS hotel, across a bridge and through the Supertree Grove but it's partially covered and partially indoors with A/C. The Skyway is a great alternate view of the Gardens and the other Supertrees. You get a sense of how large the Gardens are by being on the elevated Skyway, and you have a skyline and water view as well. We had thought about being on the Skyway for the evening lightshow but when we bought the ticket, the ticketing agent said we had to go there first. No problem as the day time views are spectacular as well. The Skyway will close if there is inclement weather (heavy rain, windy, etc.) and you won't be allowed up. Currently, there is a special exhibit (Avatar) going on that you can participate in with a paid ticket. There is also an exhibit in the Flower Dome (Sakura) to celebrate the cherry blossoms with special displays. The sites are ADA friendly with ramps, elevators/lifts for families, older parents, etc. Indoor areas have A/C. If you are in the area in early evening, recommend watching the 7:45 show, walking over to MBS to explore the mall and waterfront, and find a good viewing point for the Spectra water fountain, light show that starts at 9pm (free). Singapore is called the Garden City and this area says a lot about that moniker.

Gardens by the Bay has become one of Singapores main tourist attractions and it's not hard to see why. The gardens are free to enter, so you can wander under the Super Trees and around the lakes and gardens day or night. In the evening there are two light shows, where the super trees come to life with sound and music. The amazing egg art instalation on the lake is quite mesmerising at night (2020). There are fees to enter the flower dome, cloud forest, supertree walkway etc. Ticketing for these can be quite long at peak times but are worth the wait!

Hi. We are wanting to head to Gardens By the Bay to look at the domes before watching the light show. How long will we need to give ourselves to see them?

I would set the day aside. Go to the one dome in the morning, have lunch at Satay by the Bay, then do the next dome in the afternoon, then see the lights in the evening.

I'm confused by the ticketing. If I buy Cloud Forest and Floral Dome ticket online, do I also need to buy an admission ticket to the entire Gardens of the Bay in order to access Cloud Forest and Floral Dome? Or is admission to the Gardens of the Bay included in all the other tickets? Cheers.

The Gardens By The Bay is free and very big (need most of the day to walk around it). You then by a combined entry to the Cloud Forest and Floral or a single ticket to either but it is more expensive. There are other attractions where you have to buy a ticket to such as the Floral Fantasy, Supertree Observatory, Skyway Walk, etc. I really recommend the Floral Fantasy and the Cloud Forest.

What time should we get there if we wanted to experience cloud forest and the floral garden and then the light show afterwards?

The Cloud Forest and Floral Garden you can get there anytime although if you got there in the morning you might miss a crowd. I was there during the week early afternoon and had no big crowd. When I was there the light show had 2 sessions at 7.45pm and 8.45pm. It runs for about 15 minutes although the gardens are always lit up at night. There is plenty to see walking around the gardens, day or night.

The Gardens themselves arent ticketed entry - certain parts within have tickets but Tripadvisor treats these as separate attractions.
Currently all the permanent ticketed attractions have Adults as over 12, Children as 3-12 and under 3s being non-ticketed. So so far as I read their rules, you can take your 11month old in with paying adults for free. None of the main items (Domes, Floral Fantasy or Skywalk seem to prohibit infants - and thats the sort of text you need to check on if they think an infant is at risk on entering).
Temporary exhibits will vary and depend upon their specific rules.

The MRT stop for Gardens By the Bay is Bayfront Station. Singapore has a very efficient train system which we refer to as the MRT. Hope you enjoy your visit as I do too.

As many have stated the government are on top of this in Singapore. Most hotels take your temp on entry, hand sanitiser everywhere, hardly any visitors, none from China or Korea that we noticed.

The two Domes (Flower Dome and Cloud Forest) have an entry ticket of $28 Singapore (be advised the two domes are climate cooled) and there is a separate entry ticket for the Skyway (not sure how much but less expensive). The rest of the gardens are free and the evening light shows are great.
How to travel from Ramada by Wyndham Zhongshan park to gardens by the bay

Metro rail transit or bus would be the cheapest way. I would chose the MRT. The front desk at Ramada can provide information. They are also going to suggest a cab as it is the easiest but will cost you more than the first options.
We take MRT and or bus everywhere in Singapore. We use cabs or uber to the airport or late night
Besides Gardens by the Bay there are lots of things you can take in at the same time.
Try and buy your tickets online and skip the Q. Less chance of a problem.
Enjoy your visit to this great facility.

Onestamente non ci abbiamo pensato perché stavamo soggiornando a Singapore per qualche giorno per cui i nostri bagagli erano in stanza.
