Excellent hotel with exceptionally high service. We had adjoining rooms for our family of six, and had a wonderful stay next to Hyde park in London. Room service for the kids was a fun experience (pizza, fish goujons, spaghetti bolognese, chicken nuggets), and the adults enjoyed dinner and drinks in the hotel restaurant.

Morning breakfast was great. A superior English breakfast buffet, with fresh hot toast, local preserves, and hot coffee delivered table side. Serving staff was very accommodating and helpful with my 1 and 3 year olds.

Thank you to the entire hotel staff and management! Especially Alex, Candy, the entire Park Restaurant morning staff, and the hardworking engineers and housekeeping staff who keep this place clean, and running in tip top shape. Well done.

I stayed at the Royal Lancaster Hotel, LONDON ,on 14th February. I chose the Hotel as it is very central and overlooks the beautiful fountains in a special part of Hyde Park. Importantly for me there is a tube station 30 seconds walk away, and Paddington mainline station is also only a few minutes’ walk away. Oxford Street is also a few minutes’ away.
I stayed at the Hotel a few years ago and did not write a review , but this time my experience was so wonderful that I thought I must put up a review.
The room I stayed in, was of a good size, super clean and the gorgeous marble in the bathroom was impressive. It also overlooked what felt like the main landmarks of London and in particular the famous Hyde Park. The blinds worked electronically and also blocked out any daylight for those who need a nap during the day. The in-room facilities are extremely well thought through and presented nicely, and when I asked for fresh milk for my tea, this arrived within a few minutes to my room.
The thing that really caught my eye were the number of small things and the detail that the management have thought about to make a difference. I also felt that the care and attention was personal to me but of course they do this and care equally for all their guests. Impressive and worth a visit.

From the moment we were met by the concierge at the door, I cannot in any way fault this hotel, this has to be a firm favourite in London . We were made to feel welcomed, the check in staff were so attentive they explained everything we needed to know about our stay. Allot of hotel staff on reception say have a great stay the difference is this team really mean it. There was nothing that was too much trouble for any of the staff at this hotel. The room was clean, bright , stylish with stunning views of Hyde park & the surrounding areas. Even the in room tea and coffee making facilities shout out luxury. In the current climate with covid you can see first hand that this team go above and beyond to make your environment safe, this hotel is spotless. Each day the room was made up by the housekeeping staff and this was no regular service, when we got back it was as if we had walked back in to a newly cleaned room for the first time. For breakfast in the morning we were shown to our table a corner seat with full glass windows letting you see the natural beauty of Hyde park while eating, again the service is impeccable hot fresh coffee was served with toast while we headed to the buffet. The location of the hotel is quiet just what you need after a long day walking around, the tube is just outside which gives you access to all of London or why not just take a stroll through Hyde park to Harrods or to the national museum, it only takes about 15 minutes and the park is beautiful. So to sum it up there is no better place I would stay in London.

It's difficult to write a review that does this wonderful hotel justice.

We have just returned from a weekend at the Royal Lancaster and can't wait to return. This hotel, and the service you receive, is exactly what you'd hope from a 5* hotel. Obviously, given the current pandemic, they are having to do things a little bit different. Prior to our arrival I had wondered if this would have a detrimental effect on our experience, however I needn't have worried.

All the necessary adjustments have been taken and everything from check-in, breakfast, room service and check-out was efficient. The level of service offered remained exceptional throughout despite the additional measures all of the staff were having to adjust to. We were particularly impressed with the thoughtful package inside our room containing masks, hand sanitiser and anti-bacterial wipes.

One of the things we love about the Royal Lancaster is how attentive the staff are (without being overbearing). In particular, during this stay, the hotel manager Alex could not have been more welcoming. He introduced himself during check in, advised us how to contact him if required and checking in whenever we saw him during our stay to see what more could be done to enhanced our stay.

Myself and my husband have just come home from the royal Lancaster hotel . The hotel have made sure they are following all precautions and more against covid . As soon as you arrive at the hotel you have a temperature check and they make sure they have sanitised pens for you to use and once used they go in another tray to be sanitised. The hotel is very clean and modern , myself and my husband stayed on the 17th floor with a lovely view of the city and partial Hyde park views . We felt truely spoilt staying here as the room had everything you would expect in a room and more . Due to covid me and my husband had breakfast delivered what was another added bonus as it made us feel more at ease with social distancing . We will deff stay here again when we next come to London . Thank you royal Lancaster .

I have just returned from a 2 night stay at this hotel with my daughter. Prior to attending you receive an email with an option to check in and put your expected arrival time. On the way down I received a further email to confirm my room was ready 3 hours prior to the 3pm check in time. On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by the doorman with a friendly smile and went into a lovely clean Bright reception area. There were staff on reception and as we had a key on the email we could scan confirmed the floor we were on and headed for the lifts. To get into your floor you do have to scan your room key and we didn't have a great reception as hadn't signed into the hotel WiFi so headed back for a room key. We were on the 14th floor and had a twin room, spotlessly clean, nicely decorated and roomy with a view you could see the London Eye and shard in the distance. I usually have to sleep with a window open and you can't open these but the room was set at a perfect temperature so easy to sleep and was so quiet with buttons you press to shut 2 blinds. The bed was realky comfortable. The shower was large and had really good pressure. We had breakfast and you eat in a large light dining area with some tables with views overlooking the Italian gardens in Hyde Park. There is a fantastic choice of food and drinks, from cooked breakfast , omelette stations, a fantastic cold choice. Everything was of a high standard of quality and nothing was too much trouble for the hard working staff in there. When we came back to the hotel our room had been cleaned and beds made. Our second night we had hoped to have a drink but the bar had shut early but there is a good choice in your fridge and prices not bad. From arrival to leaving we absolutely loved our stay here. Every member of staff we met from the main doors, reception, house keeping, restaurant was helpful, polite and made you feel really welcome. This is well placed for lancaster gate tube and Hyde Park. I have stayed in other hotels close by for half the cost of this one but none came anywhere close to what this offers which was totally outstanding.

We stayed at the Royal Lancaster Hotel for 3-4 nights during our trip to London. It is by far one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at.

Newly renovated, the Royal Lancaster has a fabulous lobby. With happy faces all around, the lobby was spick and span and gives a very luxurious feeling.

We were upgraded to the suite at the hotel. Overlooking Hyde Park, the room is truly magnificent. Large, spacious with complete glass on one wall, one can spend hours just in the room not wanting to step out. The spectacular view of Hyde Park truly leaves you wanting more. The bathrooms are very spacious with luxurious modern amenities. The mattress and bed linen is extremely comfortable. The house keeping is a perfect 10 (for me being someone who is extremely picky about cleanliness). We would go back to the hotel without a blink.

The breakfast has a moderate menu (not too lavish). There were vegan options available and the coffee was fantastic!

We did not try other restaurants at the hotel, however from the breakfast we could tell that the overall food would be good.

The service is very good for Europe standards! People are happy and always willing to help. The concierge was good too.

The hotel is very well located, just a 20 minute walk from Oxford Street. There could be no better location than Royal Lancaster. This is one of the prime USPs of the hotel as per us.

We would recommend this hotel without a doubt and we are certain that we would stay the Royal Lancaster when we do plan our next trip to London.

Booked this hotel for family trip to London
We did all the sightseeing trips around London and found this hotel in an excellent location.
The service from the minute we arrived was absolutely fantastic
The check in staff welcomed us and nothing was too much trouble
They found out information efficiently when we needed advice regarding our trip.
The standard of room was incredible found the decor to be modern crisp and fresh. The cleanliness of the room was excellent along with the room amenities.
The views of london were breathtaking looking over hyde Park and the city ...
In the evening the house keeping team were attentive and asked if we had everything we needed. The beds were turned down each evening such a nice touch.
Whenever we came back to the hotel in the evening a friendly member of staff called William was there to welcome us asking about our day and giving us very valuable information for our next days agenda...
To the whole team you are super attentive and incredible at what you do.... you all should be very proud of your team working and the commitment you all have to make the experience world class.
Thankyou so much and will not hesitate to stay with you again .
A massive thankyou to Sally the general manager who drives such high standards and professionilsm that made our stay so incredible.

My husband and I stayed here for 3 nights as we were attending a concert in Hyde Park as well as visiting family in London. The location of the hotel is ideal and right next to Hyde Park with maybe a 20 minute walk through the park next to the river to the actual gig area. It is also within walking distance to Notting Hill where we went for a lovely vegetation meal on the first evening. Our check in was very quick and informative and the staff were all lovely and very attentive. Our room was very clean with a fabulous bathroom with ‘The White Company’ full sized bottles of shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion so there is no need to pack these if you are limited to the amount of liquids you’re taking. Slightly disappointed that our mini bar was not stocked but there is of course room service as well as the actual bar and restaurants.

The Royal Lancaster really know how to look after guests with their customer service being second to none. They dealt with our issues, which weren't entirely their fault, brilliantly, reassuring us that we can book in the future with full confidence of a great stay.

The location overlooking Hyde Park is superb with most rooms affording stunning views across the city. The rooms we have stayed in have been very comfortable with everything you would need in them.

The hotel is very Close to Lancaster Gate Underground station and Paddington main line station with bus stops opposite so transport links are excellent. And of course Hyde Park us just across the road allowing for pleasant walks in this superb Royal Park.

Breakfast is an excellent buffet which caters for most needs I would think. With an optional a la cartè menu at a premium to the buffet cost. All the food was kept fresh and topped up and we both thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts setting us up for the day.

The Nipa Thai restaurant is well worth a visit we enjoyed a delicious meal with friendly attentive service, one of the best Thai meals we've had.

We thoroughly recommend the Royal Lancaster Hotel all the staff thoroughly deserve all their positive reviews. Try and get a Park view room and book directly for the very best experience.

Dear Zoe, Thank you for your question. It depends a bit on the time of year, but generally our Lounge Bar is mostly a nice relaxing place to have a drink (or two!) at night, rather than a destination bar.
