Anson Eleven is a welcome surprise when visiting El Paso, TX. There are two key dining areas- The Bistro which is casual and the main dining room (2nd level). We dined on the second level, dining room, which is upscale and had a different menu...versus The Bistro. We were greeted immediately and seated promptly. Our server was extremely knowledgeable on all the menu items, drinks and appetizers. The appetizer selections were varied and all interesting. We ordered the tenderloin tartare, which was outstanding. Great flavors and not overwhelmed with spices. The butternut squash soup was rich & creamy and we would reorder again. Our entrees consisted of the sous vide duck breast, New York steak & a striped bass filet. The duck, due to the cooking process, was excellent! Highly recommend that entree. The steak was prepared medium rare with fingerling potatoes & mushrooms. The bass was two fillets with a light & crispy coating. Again, an excellent dish. Anson Eleven also has a wide selection of wines from across the globe. Price point is generous and could accommodate a wide spectrum of diners depending on your investment. Anson is a keeper for El Paso!More

First class food, service and atmosphere, with an added touch of personal attention. As we enjoyed our dinner, we happily discussed our wedding plans. At the end of our meal, our courteous servers surprised us with a complimentary dessert & fruit plate, with the word...“Congratulations” beautifully written in chocolate around the edge of the plate. The whole experience that night was simply wonderful! It should not surprise anyone that we chose Anson’s Eleven for our Rehearsal Dinner!More

Gaby and the Anson 11 team made our 6th anniversary so incredibly special. Their superb customer service was over and above what was expected and their attention to detail was only magnified by their phenomenal food. I had the ribeye and vegetables, my wife had...the salmon and we followed it all with a tiramisu dessert chaser. We’ve been here numerous times and will absolutely return again! We highly recommend a visit whether a local or just passing through. You won’t be disappointed! Thanks again to the team at Anson 11 and we will see you soon!More

Great service! Ate there twice this week for dinner. Food is horribly inconsistent. The salad with roasted tomatoes did include tomatoes and they were not roasted - roasted tomatoes were the main reason I ordered the salad. I ordered the same apple cobbler for dessert...both nights: The second serving was not hot! The first serving had been broiled or cooked to a lovely carmelized treat. The second service was warm but not carmelized-so the ice cream didn’t melt. Very disappointing. And I got blank stares from the three staff I spoke to about the poor quality of the meal. Tread carefully here!More

I first visited the fine dining restaurant at Anson Eleven in early February 2021 which was a wonderful experience. I decided to follow up with a visit to the Bistro in March 2021 but was disappointed. The fine dining food was great, no complaints. At...the bistro, several dishes were disappointing. One dish (seafood medley linguine) had to be prepared 3 times before it came out right, ultimately being delivered by the manager. The menu does not mention shrimp in this dish which is why I ordered it. The menu states scallops, salmon, and mussels, but it came out loaded with shrimp, no salmon and very few and small scallops It was disappointing.More

The COVID era reduced our visits downtown, but we're back attending the symphony and othe pleasures. Unfortunately the situation in Anon's bistro level is not a delight. As before it is packed, and tables are quite close to each other. The noise level is pretty...high. Service is somewhat chaotic; although the manager came around saying we should let her know if there were any prolems, we didn't see her again. We were there for an hour and a half, to have a shared plate, a dish, and a dessert. Some of the bread had a very hard crust, and the bread knife was rather dull. Mussels and fries were largely shoestring fries, and the mussels were a bit overcooked. We tried the tiramisu, which was only a tiramisu by name, mostly just a pudding. When the weathe allows for dining outside we may go back, or try a lunch. And we'll dine in the upstairs when there is time..but not if there is an event to attend!More

Didn’t feel welcomed by the hostess upon entering but given the limited dinner options downtown on a Tuesday evening, we decided to stay. Our server was Paulina and she made the evening enjoyable. She offered dinner recommendations, asked how our food was, where we were...traveling from and seemed interested in enhancing our visit to El Paso. You don’t find that often, surprisingly, but we definitely enjoyed our evening. Thank you, Paulina.More

After being disappointed of a couple of restaurants earlier in the month, I was extremely pleased with this one. The view is great, and the service was awesome. The bread was extremely good! For the appetizer, we ordered the frito pie (good), and shishito peppers...(waitress recommended it. The peppers were extremely tasty. None of them were hot, except the last one I ate was really hot. I ordered the Pappardelle (pasta recommended by the waitress), and it was also extremely tasty, although the meat was a lil dry. We also ordered the creme brulee, this was also very good, however it was really small. The price was not bad considering the food and restaurant.More

We were staying at the Plaza hotel opposite and this is part of the hotel. I met up with some friends here but it was incredibly noisy so it was frustrating as we were trying to have a good conversation. The server was very patient...with us when we took a long time to order and the food was all good quality.More

Disappointed . My husband reserved, table for two, they called to confirm same day of reservation, and they asked “are you aware is Fine Dinning and has a dress code?”, Of course we knew. Having said that we arrived on time, only 3 tables with...people, not busy , BUT service was not as Fine Dining! We had to call the waiter for water, wine list, and to pick up the dishes after dining . Never came to swerve the wine. My husband asked for the 14 oz Rib Eye…honestly was 8oz, thin and small. And then a guy with no long sleeve nor jacket in jeans came in to have dinner…Dress Code?! Music? Celia Cruz radio… And we Paid over $200, just saying for Fine Dining we expected more …More

Visited 11/5/22. This time at least we were attended quickly. Wife had steak and eggs, ordered medium but it was served almost rare. Kids had had flatbread pizza which was ok. I made the mistake of ordering a Parpadelle, basically I paid $22 for a...little bit of pasta, 3 asparragus and sauce. Unfortunately I was very hungry and this serving is very little food for that price. The taste was good, but if you are hungry better order something else.More

We stopped here as our hotel was less than a block away. Nice ambiance and the service was good. I would think it's a little expensive but in this post covid era, everything is very expensive. They do a busy evening and were booked solid...(we came in just before dinner time) but we saw a number of people get turned away.More

I visited Anson 11 on May 7, 2022 at about 1:00 PM. When you are seated in a restaurant you expect some kind of acknowledgment after 1 to 3 minutes. If 5 minutes have passed and no one comes to your table they are pushing...it. But if you wait 10 minutes and no one comes to your table that is just bad service. It was unfortunate because we saw some nice pictures online of the plates we wanted to try. After 10 minutes we stood up and told the young lady at the door that no one came to our table. She just said “I am sorry about that”. We’ll, we just walked another block and found another place with better service. Losing a client is that easy.More

We dine here before going to events at the Plaza Theater nearby. The menu ranges from sandwiches to large dishes such as meatloaf or steak, and the wine and spirits list is comprehensive and reasonably priced. The server will even offer a sample of wine...if you are not sure about ordering it! There is no pressure to "hurry up" even when the place is full.More

Delicious Saturday brunch with great service! I had a very nice, refreshing strawberry basil water and the Anson 11 Breakfast, which has a little bit of everything great for breakfast! The rest of the family got the Brunch Burger, and the Green Chile Chicken Chilaquiles...and Eggs, and everyone loved their meals. Attentive service, and an awesome history lesson for the area when you go down the building’s hallway to use the restroom. Highly recommend!More

We parked at the paid site by the Coffee Box, everything we want to go to downtown is accessible from there and it's fair priced.
