Jamie Lee Curtis is paying tribute to daughter Annie on her 37th birthday.

The Oscar winner, 65, shared a black-and-white photo from Annie's wedding day on Instagram Thursday, which showed her daughter from the back in bridal garb, holding a bouquet, and a proud-looking Curtis giving her a kiss.

"Today is my first daughter's birthday," Curtis began in the caption. "She made me a mother and a student with her first breath and continues to deepen both of those aspects of my life as she shares hers with me."

She added that Annie "takes my breath away. Her beauty. Strength. Her willingness and then her demand to go deeper."

"She is an extraordinary teacher, gorgeous dancer, loyal friend to many, has exquisite taste in all things, is a true partner in her marriage but, to me, she is my daughter and I love her with everything I've got and thank her, this day, for choosing me. HBD LULU!" Curtis concluded.

Annie has committed her life to the arts like her parents, Curtis and Christopher Guest, but instead of acting she's pursued her love for dance. She attended Kenyon College in Ohio to focus on her craft and was awarded best choreographer by her peers. In 2009, she graduated with a BFA in dance.

She has worked as a dance instructor at MNR Dance Factory in Los Angeles, the studio where she began her dance training at age 8 and through which she competed nationally and internationally in the years that followed.

Annie tied the knot with husband Jason Wolf in a ceremony held in her parents' backyard in July 2019. While the dancer has chosen to keep her life out of the public eye, she occasionally steps out in support of Curtis at red carpet events.

Curtis and Guest are also parents to daughter Ruby, 27, whose wedding, which also took place in her parents' backyard, Curtis officiated in May 2022.
