Early Life

AnnaSophia Robb was born on December 8, 1993, in Denver, Colorado. She is the daughter of interior designer Janet Robb and architect David Robb, and she is of English, Scottish, Irish, Swedish, and Danish descent. Robb was raised in a devout Christian household, and she was home-schooled during her youth. She became interested in acting at an early age and began performing onstage at the church her family attended. For more than four years, AnnaSophia took part in gymnastics and dance competitions, but she quit to spend more time focusing on acting. Robb graduated from Arapahoe High School in 2012, then she earned a degree from New York University in 2018.

Career

AnnaSophia was discovered by an agent at the age of 8, and her mother subsequently drove her to Los Angeles. Robb first appeared on television in a national ad for Bratz dolls, and she also starred in a McDonald's commercial. In 2004, she guest-starred on "Drake & Josh" and played the title role in the TV movie "Samantha: An American Girl Holiday," and she made her big screen debut in 2005's "Because of Winn-Dixie." That year AnnaSophia also co-starred with Johnny Depp, Freddie Highmore, and Helena Bonham Carter as Violet Beauregarde in Tim Burton's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" (2005), which grossed $475 million at the box office. AnnaSophia became engaged to Trevor Paul in September 2021, and they married on September 10, 2022. The three-day celebration took place at Inness, a property between New York's Catskill and Shawangunk Mountains that features a 12-room farmhouse and more than two dozen cabins. Robb told "People" magazine, "Walking down the aisle, that was really amazing. Seeing everybody's faces and then seeing Trevor, I didn't know if I would be nervous or emotional or what I would feel, and I just felt very confident. I was like, 'This is a great decision. The decision of my life.'"
