'60s sex symbol Ann-Margret looks lovely at 78 years old at awards ceremony in Los Angeles

Ann-Margret, who became a household name in the 1960s after starring alongside Elvis Presley in "Bye Bye Birdie" and "Viva Las Vegas," was looking lovely as ever at 78 years old as she arrived at an awards ceremony this weekend.

Wearing tinted glasses, black leather gloves and a large cross necklace, the actress smiled for paparazzi at the Los Angeles Press Club's National Arts & Entertainment Journalism Awards. She's still rocking her signature strawberry blonde hair, these days in a shoulder-length bob with layered bangs.

Inside the event, Ann-Margret was honored with the Legend Award for positively using her global influence over the years.

The Swedish-born star has made occasional public appearances since the passing of her husband, Roger Smith, who died in 2017 at 84 years old. The two were married for 50 years, and he managed his wife's career through the decades. They had no children, but she is a stepmother to Smith's three children from a previous relationship.

"I met them when they were 3, 6, and 7," she once said of her stepchildren, adding, "Two of them are doctors!"

In more recent years, she's continued to pick up occasional roles, including one in 2017's "Going In Style," which co-starred Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine and Alan Arkin.
