It's small, yet in my opinion, it provides a lot more compared to other bigger parks and nature areas. I think what makes it so great despite its size is the view. A trail winds along the Huron River. There's hardly an elevation gain on the trail, so if you're looking for more of a challenge, you may find this nature area a bit boring. However, if you want a flat and short yet scenic trail to walk or even run on, this is the place for you.

Furstenberg is a top-notch nature area. It's amazing to find these really well-preserved natural area in what is essentially the middle of the city of Ann Arbor. It's a peninsula that juts out into the Huron River.
There are a couple miles of trails of various surfaces winding through wetlands and woods, as well as restrooms and picnic areas. The city's website has a printable map and interpretive guide to the park so you can learn about the prairie garden, wetlands preservation and other topics as you walk the trails.
Note: The park doesn't have an official, specific street address; even the city's website just says the entrance is on Fuller "across from Huron High School." But the address listed above is close enough to help you find it via Google maps.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
