Great experience!!! You are taken through the entire brewery. Monique is an amazing tour guide. Her smile and laugh are contagious! She's extremely knowledgeable an informative! This is great place to take your favorite beer lover. You get to sample freshly made Bud Light and when the tour ends you go into the lovely Biergarten (nice cozy warm fireplace crackling away) and you can sample any other Budweiser beverages. This is a great tour!

Did the beermaster tour on May 14 2010. Monique, our guide was great. The place was spotless inside and out (beautiful landscaping). Toured the entire production from beginning to end. Tasted unpastuerized beer right out of a huge vat. Bottling was in full operation that day, so that was quite the sight to see. Finished tour with a tasting and some free gifts (hat, glass & certificate) and got to keep our safety glasses and earplugs (the tour was quite noisy in places). Then spent time on our own visiting with the Clydedales. Tour took approx 2 hours and a fair bit of walking, but was quite interesting for anyone interested in the beermaking process. Would highly recommend it.

The Budweiser Plant in Merrimack is one of their smallest facilities, so it's easy to see and enjoy.
There are free samples both before and after the tour. Soft drinks are available for children.
Visiting the world famous Clydesdales is always a treat as well.

I'd say that 95% of the people taking a tour of any facility making alcoholic beverages are doing it to get the free samples. As a non-drinker, I was certainly in the minority on this tour (like maybe the ONLY person who didn't rush for the bar at the end!!!).

So, in a nutshell, you're going to get a perky college freshman girl who is going to give you a very well-polished speech while giving you a walking tour of the factory and you're going to get about 60 people who are trying to act interested in what she is saying but are mostly smacking their lips impatiently waiting for some free booze. I didn't pay precision attention but out of the one hour tour, I'd say 20 minutes was the factory, 20 minutes was a detailed description of the dozens of different beers perfectly lighted in display cases (known as a "20 minute sales pitch" to us cynics out there) and then 20 minutes was free samples.

For me, the non-drinker, though, it was fine because the last 40 minutes were while we were standing on a viewing platform for the bottling line. I got lucky enough to see them start up a production line so got to see the empty conveyors slowly filling up with brown bottles like an immense conga line threading its way through the factory. The Clydesdale stable is a nice bonus to the tour.

Bottom line is that I learned a lot about the brewing process, was impressed by the level of automation and really enjoyed seeing the bottling line. If you're a drinker, you can get all of that plus 2 free beverages. I got a bag of pretzels so I was happy! :-)

This Anheuser brewery no longer offers tours. The only visit opportunity is via 'special event.' Also, the Clydesdales are no longer at this location.

We have been on the free tour before, so this time we opted for the "Day Fresh" tour for $10 each. We had a quick tour of the facility and then stopped for a good sized sample of Bud Light directly from the tank. Freshest, coldest beer we've ever had. Then we had our two samples in the tasting room and got to see the bottles being run through the conveyor belts for bottling and packaging. Next we drove over to the barn where they house the Clydesdales. A very nice woman was giving one (Victor) a bath and when she was done she let us pet him. It was a terrific experience - highly recommend it!

If you like beer, this is a great tour. If you like horses, this is a not-to-be-missed adventure. The Anheuser Busch brewery tour takes about an hour. You’ll start in a pleasant waiting area just off the gift shop. For those “of age” you will get your first “taste” here, too. On our day it was “Shock Top.” The tour itself takes you through all stages of the brewing process from the giant train cars that unload daily to the bottling/canning operation. There are a few stairways, but they have elevators at every step of the way, making this a very handicap accessible tour.

Folks typically think of this as the Budweiser Brewery, but they are brewing lots of other beers, as well. In fact, at the end of the tour, you’ll end up in a large hospitality room. A menu lists a variety of brews and ciders, etc., from which tour goers can select two. You get two full-size portions, along with bagged pretzels to nibble. They also have a selection of family-friendly beverages, too.

The best part of the tour, in my opinion, is self-guided. Merrimack, NH is one of only three locations in the country where Anheuser Busch have teams of their famous Clydesdale horses. Though they tour 340 days a year, one full team of 8 is always “home,” so you can visit these enormous horses whenever you want. Plus, New Hampshire is the training location, so there are also pastures and corals behind the main stables, where you can see several pairs of young Clydesdales. You can stay as long as you want. Tours end at 4, but the stables stay open till 5.

At the far end of the stable building is a wonderful room with some of their oldest wagons, formerly used for delivering beer. In this room is a TV monitor that runs a delightful array of stories and videos, including all those classy Clydesdales television commercials.

All of this is for free. The only money to spend is $20 if you want the package of professional photographs that they offer. There’s no pressure. They literally take photographs of us tourists before we enter the plant to start the tour. They are really very good. Of course, you could spend money in the gift shop, where there are plenty of large and small items… my favorites there are the little stuffed Dalmations (to honor the dogs that ride with the Clydesdale hitch teams) and both a large and baby-sized Clydesdale. You’ll also find everything from specialty beers and clothing items to coolers and lots of jazzy souvenirs.

Last night a group of us attended the "Brews & Bites" tour at the Merrimack, NH Budweiser Plant. It was totally awesome!! Before the event we went on our own, to the stables to see the Clydesdale's. Beautiful horses....they had 10 in the indoor stables and several outdoor. Be sure to check out the famous Budweiser trailers they pull in the back display room. One horse was actually named after me "Pete"!! The "General" was very stoic and proper, and doing his own thing! What magnificent animals.

The tour started promptly on time and the tour of the facilities was excellent. The tour guide was excellent. Had a beer tasting direct from the giant finish tank....ice cold! To complete the tour we all gathered in their pub area, sampled beers, and had 4 excellent appetizers of food which complemented certain beers they had. The cost of this evening tour was $15 if you bought the ticket online. $20 at the door. The plat was impeccably clean and the best part in my opinion was watching the bottling process. Tour lasted 3 hours. Lots of stairs, but they also offer elevators for those that want it. A must see.

I've lived in the area for over 20 years and finally went for my first tour. The grounds are very nicely kept. Everything is soooo clean. I've never been a big Budweiser fan but I must say this tour changed my mind (a little - I'm still a little bit of a beer snob). However, from the first ice cold fresh sample of Bud through the tour of this impressive brewery and the final samples in the hospitality room everything was great. All of the guides were very friendly. The selection of products to sample was extensive. The history and the actual brewing process were very interesting. And to top it off, we were able to see 8 Clydesdales. And all of this was free. I would recommend this to anyone over 21. Even people under 21 would enjoy it.

Highly recommend for anyone even remotely interested in beer. Great place to stop by on a dreary New England day. It is a decent not amazing tour, beer, and you get to see the Clydesdales all for free.

I'm beer fan and been on hundreds of tours. The tour content was pretty weak (didn't go into much details on the brewing process more of the statistics). The best part is getting a feel of the scale of the brewery. You walk into the receiving area and there are four freight cars of grain! The silos hold 5 M pounds of barley, rice, and corn. They might hold them for a week's worth of brewing.

Once you go through the brewery you get to the sampling. There was a wide range of InBev products: Shocktop, Stella, Goose Island, Michelob, Bud, etc. You get two 11.8 ounce glasses of whatever they are pouring that day. There is soft drinks for the kids, and pretzels for everyone.

They offer you photos from your tour but is a low key manner - not pushy. After 25 mins the tour guide gives you the five minutes warning to finish up and walks you back to the start.

There is a brewmasters tour for $25 that is 2 1/2 hours long. You get to sample beer during the fermentation process and some other things. If we go back we'll probably sign up for that.

The grounds are well kept just like any of the Busch theme parks. The Clydesdale are very impressive and you get a good view of them.
